Forging Coat Hooks even Faster by Hand
Making lots of coat hooks is well, lots of work. There are many steps to finish one hook, but this process could probably be made faster. So in this video I make a tool that will help with every part of the hook making process. This will make everything much more repeatable and efficient. Enjoy!

It Drives! | Full Suspension Mini Bike Pt.3
zhlédnutí 879Před 5 měsíci
The Full suspension mini bike is finally running and driving. After quite a while of building this, it's pretty cool to actually be able to drive it. I made this bike completely from scratch, using parts from an old kids atv, and parts off of amazon. So far it's looking awesome, from the custom tube frame to the custom aftermarket air intake. Enjoy! If you haven't seen Part 1: czcams.com/video/...
Early 1900's Blacksmith Vice Restoration
zhlédnutí 596Před 5 měsíci
From a rusty, abandoned blacksmith vice to a functional tool that I use almost every day. I've been wanting to get one of these vices for a while now, and I finally found one. This is how I got it working and put this 100 year old vice back to work. Enjoy!
I Forged a File to make Fire
zhlédnutí 906Před 7 měsíci
I used fire to forge a file to make something that starts fires. And that thing is a flint striker. This was a lot of fun to make and something I hadn't tried before. I never got to actually test it out in the video, but later I got to and it actually works quite well, despite my lack of experience of using flint strikers. Watch this short to see how it works: czcams.com/users/shortsu5bZ6h5dikI...
I Forged these EPIC Throwing Knives by Hand
zhlédnutí 430Před 7 měsíci
I forged a set of three kunai style throwing knives. They were a lot of fun to make, and to learn how to use. Starting as some leaf spring, I forged the knives completely from scratch. I wanted to try and get them as close to the final product without using a grinder. Watch along to see how I did. Enjoy!
I made a knife that fits in a wallet
zhlédnutí 531Před 8 měsíci
This knife is a must have for people who might not regularly carry knives, but carry their wallet. Or maybe you just need to fill up your wallet. All you have to do to get one of these is make it yourself... I've never seen and knife like this, so I designed it from scratch in hopes of forging some leaf spring into a functional knife that fits into a card slot in a wallet. Although I went throu...
Rusty Springs and Fish to This... ft.@Gridlessness

Go find out how the sheaths were made on the Gridlessness channel here: www.youtube.com/@Gridlessness/featured They do a lot of awesome things from general homesteading and off-grid living to making homemade black powder, so definitely check them out. These knives started as truck leaf springs. Through forging and countless hours of fit ups and handle work, two knives were made. And what better...
It's a Rolling Frame! | Full Suspension Mini Bike Pt.2
zhlédnutí 2KPřed 9 měsíci
In this video the mini bike rolls on its own weight! I have to rebuild part of the frame and then build a custom swing arm that fits a custom rear axle setup that I made from an old mini quad. Enjoy!

Good work, keep it up.
It only works if the char is 100% cotton or denim. I carry a tin of charred pink wood and have had great success with it
One option that might solve the problem of that small material cooling so fast, is to lock it in the vise cold, and use a torch for the heat.
At 3:12 I thought he was trying to show us his hand. So even though in the next second he gave us a close-up of the piece, all I could think of was that gnarly old blister!
Great work 😃😃
Cool design, I'm thinking maybe black oxide them, good video.
For these hooks I finished them with boiled linseed oil off camera, Thanks!
Those are perfect!
Nice work!
Hey man if you have the time could you show us how to grind bevels on the 1x30
Awesome job. very nice jig. and a very nice design on the hooks. thanks for taking the time to video it all.
I love your humour young man! Cheers from a Tasmanian Grandma. 🙃
Glad you liked it!
Pretty talented for your age. Whoever has taught you what you know is a good man! (Or woman)
Thanks!
happy to be back to watch your work develop
some very nice looking welds, shows some training and a willingness to learn to do aa good job. Happy I learned about you from Gridlessness. Hoping to learn if some of your work is for sell......
Great job!
IT IS A VERY NICE HEAVY-DUTY TOOL !!!!!!!!!!
I have y done any forge work since junior high many moons ago but I feel like you should be wearing a pair of leather gloves. Haha. Love your work. Keep it up 👍
😂 I laughed so hard at the paper towel in the carb 😂
Awesome job, it's a beautiful vice, great job on the follow through until it was perfect!
hey If you have the time can you please make a video on how to grind bevels on a 1x30 belt sander.
Clever and funny- perfect combo! Cheers from an Aussie grandma.
A track on the back and ski on the front!?
That's the plan!
Lol, as I watched you put the air filter on I'm thinking "well that's going to be funny". But who hasn't done something like this. If someone says they have never done it, they are lying. 😂 looking good Brandt. You'll have more fun on something you built yourself.
Mistakes happen, at least I got this one on camera!
@@BrandtBuildsStuff 😂 😂
Perfect timing!!! I'm building something similar to this
Hopefully this series helps!

Awesome, WAAAAAAAAYYYYYY better than a paper straw.
Paint the stand. The earth will corrode the metal.
Fantastic. First thing I looked for in the first minute was those threads. Clean and not too worn. Screw box looks good. Everything else can be fixed if needed but screw and box are the big deals
The fact that someone my age has this much cool stuff, and that its so much cooler than my stuff, is really annoying to me. Like bro has a workshop. I have a shed, and its mostly filled up with a lawnmower.
Nicely done- good for another 100 years. 🙂
You got a great vise there ! Dont forget to put grease on the screw and pack the screw box aka the bell thing. That is the number one thing people forget to do and it ruins the thread every time you tighten it without lubrication. Do that and you should have that vise for life, it had almost no wear on the screw from what i saw
I forgot to add the grease while filming, but off camera I did. I knew someone would catch that! Thanks for the comment!
Great vice. Nicely done. I have one very similar in a shed awaiting the same treatment. First I need a workshop. Good stuff. 👍 P.S. On a previous video I commented, "Keep it at", which makes no sense. Meant to say, "Keep at it"! 🤪😂
It's definitely a game changer in the shop. All good, I knew what you meant. Thanks!
Great work young man!
Do you use loctite when you thread on the pommel?? Those knives look great
Thanks! No I didn't use Loctite, but this isn't a takedown knife so all the parts are epoxied in place, including the threads on the pommel.
Very cool! Faith restored in the younger generation! 😉
Beautiful work, cool project, thanks for the inspiration!
You walked away from morrells? Heathen!
I was thinking the other day about making fire starter kits for Christmas. This reminded me I need to do it. Great job.
Go for it! It's a fun project. Thanks
Agate! Just as good as Flint.
any crystaline rock should work to some degree
Later I got to try this out for real, and turns out there are actually multiple rocks I could get spark with right in my driveway. I got some pretty decent spark with some agate and I think it was some kind of quartz.
Not to bad just needs the finger holes bigger to get fingers in it and longer to fit a grownups hand
For this one it was supposed to be small and easy to carry, but that other design is definitely one I should try. Thanks!
The struggle is real Good luck mate 🙏
If I go to woods I always bring a 4 pack of lighters and some other stuff to start fires so u fools keep doing it hard way I will have fire started before u guys even get ur stuff our of packs
at the rate I'm going you'll have started a fire with each one of your lighters for before I have one! Haha
What kind of steel are you using?
I'm using trailer leaf spring which is 5160
Nice moves, on and off the anvil! If you want throwing things that stick more often, how about trying a shuriken or two?
Thanks! Maybe I will have to...
Great stuff. Keep it at. 👍
Awesome work!
Thanks!
sick knives and the flips were cool too!
Great forging bro. I would like to see another mini bike video
Thanks! Part 3 won't be out for a bit, but it'll be great. It will take it to the finished product and get it ready for future possibilities....
I was getting dizzy watching you do all those flips, LOL. Forging is looking good. Cheers
Ha Ha, Thanks!
Practice, practice, practice. You'll get there. Nice forging.
