Gaelic Ireland - The lost way of life of the Irish People
zhlédnutí 211Před 3 měsíci
Lasting over 2,500 years Gaelic Ireland was a free and wild country. This video shows the free and libertarian lifestyle of the Gaelic Irish lasting from 500 BC to 1605 AD.
Invasion is 100% the wrong choice of words - why do people take mythology and written sources from the victors as gospel truth, especially when it comes to the landmass known as Caledonia something political happened circa 880ad with Dal Riata and the Pechts combining forces to fend off the scandanavians no chance Kenneth Ma Alpin (son of a pitish chieftain ) rode across Scotland with a warband and wiped out all traces of the pechts as written by some irish lad in the 12th century But hey whatever floats peoples boats
ireland and scotland werent a thing yet ye didnae invade anyone ya rocket, they were just gaels from the tribe SCOTI
Pipe down you are uneducated Scotti is Latin for irush In the 5th century gaels from Ireland raded Wales they are called the scotti Ireland in Greek was scotia major while Scotland was scotia minor Scotia adopted from latin for men from Ireland In 680 irish ki dom delraida now called O reilly invaded caladonia out of fear the Ui NEILL dynasty would take them over Irish gaels took the land in 780 with the deaths of pict royals.
Gaels are from ireland There is no tribe called scotti ya f*cking id*t The eaganachta The cruthini The darthani Decalsians These are the only gaelic tribes all come from Ireland and make the 4 provinces of ireland and its 4 irish dialects The Scott's come from delcasians just like almost all irish. Main del cassia clans are o conner o neill and o brien
Ireland like Britain was made up of various ethnic groups. The term 'Gael' is a linguistic and cultural term. The Scoti were a distinct ethnic group who spoke Gaelic. They didn't invade Scotland, they were migrants who eventually became the the majority population in the region. Their language and culture was spread by population expansion, by force and treaty the Gaelic language eventually spread across Scotland.
@mv12379......any migration was from scotland to ireland (certainly ulster). also, it's gallic in scotland coming from the frankish regions of europe. the galls/gauls were always at war with the romans there so they fled to england. when the romans invaded england they then fled to and settled in scotland. eventually, it would have crossed over to ireland , most likely with scottish galloglass warriors in the 1200s. irsh monks changed it to gaels to suit the narrative of the bible. probably around the 1400s.
St Colmcille Columba uncle granted him the island of iona.
@charlesd3a.......st columba was copied from 2 earlier st columbas. one scottish and one spanish. all 3 have the same story..
there was no invasion from ireland to scotland......other way round.fergus mor was most likely a pictish chieftain from scotland. also, it's gallic in scotland coming from the frankish regions of europe.the first peoples to enter ireland (certainly ulster)came from scotland.
There was
@@Gypsygeekfreak17 any movement of peoples to ireland (certainly ulster) was from scotland . there was never any invasion/incursion from ireland to scotland. archaeological/historical evidence points the other way.
@@brucecollins641 This is unionist propoghanda List me one invasion from Scott's into ireland If they entered ireland why is there no sign of them in munster? This propoghanda is used by loyalist rats like uvf to promote ulster Scott's as native. This theory if you look it up will bring you to articles about uvf propoghanda and loyalist radicalism theory
His name was Column or columnkill
the 'C' is always a hard sound in Gaelic so it would be Kinail not sinail
Only an ill educated silly sunt would forget the hard C
Interesting . Islay is pronounced eye - la or Isla. The y is always silent. The la is short and clipped. So not I- lahhrrr. But I -la..
Ye the Ai voice is miserable at pronouncing names originating from Gaelige or Gaelic
@@EireGoBragh32 You are right.. You can tell I'm virtually a boomer - I don't spot it was AI.
@@user-oo8xp2rf1kIt can be hard to spot , I prefer to spend my time researching and writing and I just plug the script into the AI software to get back a voice over!
I never want to hear a single bitching about planters again.
Shhhh. They like to pick one moment in history. It suits a narrative.
