Andrew said on his own channel that the producers were ready to vote him off the show and were going to MAKE him sing Total Eclipse of the Heart to set him up for failure so it would be obvious to the audience why he was voted off. He said that he told the producer if you are going to vote me out let me sing what I want so I put out something good, she then labeled him as difficult to work with and told the rest of the crew to treat him like crap so he would cave into their demands because what I think is that they are trying to protect the judges from being the villains by voting him out if he did well, on the other hand, If he sucked it's justified so they don't look bad because voting him out would have been justified. He did not cave in and he sang this song which is one of which he told him he would sing but the producer did not tell him until the very last minute when he was about to get on stage to throw him off. So they probably told the judges to be cutthroat with what they thought about him after his performance to make it obvious that he was not going to move forward in the competition. None of them have any classical training nor are opera fans they are ignorant, they are being paid to play judges when in reality the producers are really who decide who's in or out in this show. Their opinions were scripted and on top of that Sharon went for the jugular and said what she said that was a direct ad hominem. His appearance was part of the narrative when he auditioned the first time "Good for you be yourself don't let anyone tell you how to be you, blah, blah, blah" Then she says that if you didn't look the way you look people would take you seriously (Really?). They attacked his lack of formal training, looks, and his general appeal to wider audiences. I am glad he stood his ground and went out on his own terms, not theirs.

Amazing guy. Sings a little hoarse, but very interesting. I like it when a man can sing in such a voice. I listened to a lot of guys and men and I really liked them all. This is extremely exciting and attracts attention. Respect to the guy!!!

I wish i could give Andrew a hug. The judges are telling him pretty much to change pretty much everything that makes him unique and stand out. Howard Stern, he made himself stand out by being one of the biggest pigs towards people especially handicapped and women on his show, Sharon is married to one of the most unique rocker in showbiz. Its just crazy crazy to me. I love that Andrew didn't listen to them.

I think the judges are going too far. He has a wonderful talent, That is what is important and what it is about. The 'Show' was put before the 'Talent', that's were the Judges failed immensely.

It is interesting that Andrew and counter tenor Greg Pritchard have lower speaking voices compared to Chris Colfer and Alex Newell from "Glee". I wonder if the latter counter tenors have thinner vocal chords. Andrew seems to have a lot of vocal range. I bet a lot of people call his singing falsetto even tho I think it is actually soprano when he is singing something like "Ave Maria".
