Had to listen to this amazing song, on the last day of July.
The sound just like it feels when you have to have a goddamn talk to a girl
Superb
RIP Townes. You lived not in vain
Excellent
It feels like every few weeks I find a new TVZ song that I haven’t heard before. I didn’t think it was possible but I’m not complainin
The blues is where it's at
Great memories of a lovely man and a great entertainer.
((😳))
As a child I was taught this poem
So wonderful to hear a live performance of this sad, haunting ballad. I felt that Liam's recording of this song on his solo Vanguard album from the mid-60s was the best cut on that album.
Awesome version
Just the type of Townes song I’ve been looking for to learn lately. If you like this listen to railroad bill by ramblin Elliot too.
At one time, a Colorado girl slept next to me (maybe it was reverse ? ), and this song wakes that long gone emotion. And IF she ever called on me..., I'd loose my shadow getting there so fast ! SO fast...
Wow
Greatest of All Time!
Love this rendition.
Liam Clancy has done a great service to my supposed relative the Blind Poet Anthony Raftery...with this English interpretation of Anach Cuan...far better than many of the word by word translations found in books...It is a universal story that cannot be repeated or re-interpreted too often...
The Complete Coffee Shop Sessions bootleg ❤️ One of my favourite TVZ songs.
huge awesome duet gets goosebumps. God bless you.
Beautiful
I've heard both these songs many times as a young person. Jim Reid's renditions are the best I've heard! I've heard Canadian variants of Wild Geese, but this is terrific! A Hameless Loon.
I like Townes version better than Rory. Nothin wrong with Rory, just my preference
Just found Townes, and I love his music!!
This was one of best shows for sure. Going on the driving music playlist!
What's his dog's name at 4:20?
Geraldine i believe
If you watch the heartworn highways dvd you'll hear about it
Thanx
It's Geraldine.
75 YEARS YOUNG AND STILL LOVING THE BLUES, ESP. HOWLIN WOLF....PEACE OUT AS THE YOUNGSTERS SAY....

I had no idea the lyrics or what it was about. Gosh is this sad.
I love his rendition equal to dylan. Also poncho and lefty is great song. I really like his naturalness
Good one
This is now one of my favourite versions of TT blues. Blows the version I was trying to out of the water hahaha
I'm a real COLORADO GIRL! The rest are fakes!
Brings me back to the county roads of Clare.
Did not this one(old J.Rodgers song),but The Late Great TVZ was a true legend, one of the best in lyrics All Time!.
