Gameplay Beats, Pacing and Intensity

Pacing is a crucial aspect of level design, as it can greatly impact player engagement and enjoyment of the game. Also, make sure to synchronize the movement of enemies properly. If there is a group of 3 enemies and the first one completes a cycle in 11 seconds, the second in 13 seconds, and the third in 17 seconds, it will take more than 40 minutes for them to return to their initial state. This can cause your intended solution to stop working if the player waits too long and causes the patterns to desync.
