BNSF doesn’t operate east of Chicago. That’s either borrowed power or a BNSF train being operated by CSX crews in the Eastern US

My favorite part is the absurdly slow “walking speed” of the train as it approaches Hicksville. Not another train in sight yet the train has to travel at essentially 5 mph approaching Hicksville. Absurd and outdated. This is where even a little extra time added ends up adding to one’s already long commute. LIRR switching and approach speeds remain outdated and the worst in the nation.

Very random thought but I just realized the cannonball is the only consist on the LIRR that can fill Bellmore’s platform completely. Being that it’s a 14 car platform.

How of the is the cannonball ran and for what? Holiday and Memorial Day crowds?

Looking back on this video, and I took this from Brockville center last week. The trip took around 25 minutes, no stopping at jamaica. We went very fast through the tunnel, brand new train, amazing speed!

Dude, you should've taken the Acela south to D.C. S8nce I've got friends and family from Philly to D.C., anytime I go to visit them I jump on Amtrak regional or Acela. Only certain sections is track is Acela designated for super high speed, and than not north of NY. Those sections is track are from NY-DC. Now THAT'S the train you need to be on is your looking to get somewhere by train fast

Love riding the trains, however I wish more of the stations were accessible for the disabled, e.g., the Mets-Willets Point station that people use to attend the NY Mets baseball and the National Tennis Center where the US Open is held.

Love this! I've been a huge train fanatic all my life, trips to the city on the train have always been a stress reliever. Seeing the entire trip from Atlantic terminal, which was previously called Flatbush Ave is a real treat. I hope I can find other entire cab view trips, maybe Penn Station to Ronkonkona in Suffolk county where I live
