again... the music is PEAK! fantastic production, can't wait for days 4-7!
i wanna say that the soundtrack in these videos has been ON POINT!! ramones, avril lavigne, it's all AWESOME! can't wait more the rest of the week
update: ABBA??? your music taste is GREAT
Most looking forward to the breakdance competition that is part of this year's Olympics
You might of already figured it out by now or someone may have told you, but no 3km in the olympics said at 17:34 so you can leave that one out!
Loved watching the sailing guys, best of luck! See you both at LA2028 yeah? #Paris2024Sailing
Concept rowing cool 0:50
Oui!!! He finally tried my sport track and field!
I did try 20 different olympic sports once that was enough of an organisational challenge never mind 140. Interestingly some of the water sports were hard to find in the UK or at least where I was located at the time.
Hey Guys, just gotta chip in saying this really is a great series! Love the work and keep up the hype for the Olympics!
Would have been nice to have the times on the track and also from the swimming events the day before. Great video anyway !
This is so sick. One for the bucket list. Anyone fancy doing it? Ahah
This is so sick. One for the bucket list. Anyone fancy doing it? Ahah
Great series! And so many cool sports I had no idea were in the Olympics!
This series wins a gold medal. Well done lads.
I would absolutely love to see this taken to the extreme. Get 30 odd sprinters together, and run 400 legs of 100m (just over that as it's lane 4). See just how fast it's possible to get the baton round.
I love it! Love the fact that my bike pump has done the fastest marathon
@@lachlanearnshaw If you did 13 second splits for each 105m, (which is quick, but only the first is from a standing start), then you could get the baton round in just over an hour and a half. Looks like it's 12.8 second splits for an hour and a half marathon. That would be something to see!
Based on his form, I assume Connor actually ran hurdles at some point - maybe just high school, but he clearly understood the concept. I raced them once in college, because some other folks dropped out and it was a quick way to score some points. It was a disaster but I believe I still scored us 1pt. Great series, looking forward to the next eps.
Let’s go sailing! You guys gotta try foiling!
These guys have a goated playlist in this series
Elliot and the marathon is going to be box office. Unreal stuff boys
"Discuss" lol Loving this series, look forward to the next one
High diving should be a fun one...
Yeah day 7, turns out one of us is very afraid of heights
Good on you guys for giving sprint canoe a try!! You did fantastic for your first every try. Thanks for giving it some great watch time! :)
I never realised how high hurdles are 😮 in general all of the athletics events you tried show how much technic athletes must have to compete on highest level. Even a fit person looks somewhat silly trying these.
This is one of my favorite youtube series of all time. It somehow captures the excitement and ingenuity of 2008/2009 YT. Thank you!!!
Imagine a title of an article. "Australian olympic tripple jumper gets injured while trying shot put with friends and will miss the Olympics"
Glad you at least attempted to sit in a racing kayak - I've wondered what would happen if someone with less experience but lots of sporting ability tried to sit in a less stable boat. I'd hoped for better given that you survived in rowing shells, those are often narrower at the waterline than racing kayaks, but you have the benefit of oars to counterbalance you so it's hard to compare. It's a shame that you couldn't get more time in it, but then again, it takes loads of experience to build up the core strength, balance, and muscle memory to be able to remain stable. Top effort for trying it, and you looked to be doing well in the beginner K1s (surfskis, sure, but they feel very similar to beginner kayaks) so a good experience anyway. The boats have to be so unstable to go fast - you need as close to a circular cross-section as possible to reduce your drag and cut through the water better, which makes them roll much more. Even a tiny wobble that you can't unconsciously correct for risks tipping you past the point of no return before you realise what's happening if you don't have the muscle memory. Once you've got it, though, the game changes completely, from being about how long you can stay upright and stable, to how much power you can put down and how much efficiency you can extract from each paddle stroke to go as fast as possible for as long as possible. I kind of wish they had a K4 (4 person kayak) and some spare paddlers to take you guys out - K4s are harder to tip over as they're bigger boats, though not impossible and you would probably go swimming in a properly narrow racing k4, but if you stayed upright you'd get a feel for the speeds these boats can reach.
Yeah I honestly couldn’t believe how unstable that kayak was, and to consider that new racing kayaks are less stable is insane! Would take so much training just to be able to stay upright! Crazy respect for the sport Probably the hardest sport for a beginner to do
Would have been great to see you on a 49er but can't blame you for fitting in what you can
Waiting for the 10 KM open water...
this series is great do more like it
Having a blast watching these!
Hoping for curling in the Winter Olympics!
This is amazing i;m going through my head trying to think what is left most of the cycling ones (BMX, mountain bike, track good luck doing an omnium lol road race) all the gymnastics trampolene and rythmic lots of the real endurance stuff marathon, 10km run, 10km swim + 400 800 and 1500, all the horse stuff, diving, golf, judo rugby 7s shooting table tennis taekwondo Hockey handball. Boxing Basketball 3x3 basketball Breaking Volleyball though it could be argued you covered that on the beach. rowing 8s, windsurfing
bro pls make merch I would eat that up
When will you do canoe sprint?
you guys are mad! This is literally my dream though - to do this in 365 days not 7 :D
Yeah I was actually thinking it’d be so cool to sign up for and literally compete in every event over the course of a year This week made me realise how many fun sports there are out there so now I just want to do them all lol
Definitely love the way it is not perfectly produced, its perfect
how does elliot casually know so many top athletes and people with access to equipment LOL
"your network is your net worth" 🤔🤔
this is so awesome!
love the series. you legends❣
Thank you for the freedom units 😅
Hi folks. I'm wondering could I get some input from someone who knows a bit about this. So, long story short, say I go for a cycle and do lets say 4hrs, at my weight I burn whatever amount of calories. It'll say on garmin/strava. I know they're not absolutely spot on with cals burned. Then, later that day say I go for a run. Again, calories burned is logged. At the end of the day, after the 2 sessions, to get a full calorie burn, can/should I also add in 2000 cals that my body burns from being simply alive, as in my basil metabolic rate. The calories my body burns each day regardless of what I do, which for my weight, is 1900. Can I add these to the calories burned during the bike and the run ?? Thanks for all help.
Synchronized swimming and the equestrian events should be interesting😂
They did synchronized swimming in the last one right after water polo.
I can’t wait for dressage and show jumping!
Im looking forward to the 10km open water swim..
Day 6
@@lachlanearnshaw and the 50k walk, better but some of those special shorts 😁
That's a definite fail on both the k1 and the k2... What were you guys doing lol 😂.. the ski was a beginner ski and that k2 was even a more stable boat from the 90s... I like the concept, but you might have to up your game boys..
100% a fail! Was the most unexpectedly hard sport of the week IMO, mad respect to any kayakers out there.
Yeah definitely a fail on kayaking - can’t believe people can actually ride those let alone race
@@lachlanearnshaw it definitely is an acquired skill, most people spend the first 3 weeks falling in and it's a few months until you can actually put any power down, hopefully you can both revisit it one day it definitely takes patience and you need someone to coach you, once you learn that forward motion gives you stability(like a bike) and learn bracing strokes and resting your blade on the water for support you only improve from there.. your biggest mistake was not having both hands on the paddle.. paddling is a great sport once you get hooked. Respect for having a go 👍😎
That k2 was not like the ones sjef in olympics. That there is as wide as a warship! So disappointing 😢
Incredible idea and amazing work so far guys ! Congrats for making it to 50 !
Dont forget the decathlon😂
technically it will be covered by the other events -
Lead climbing?😢
the music copyright must be wild for these videos!
What's even more awesome than what you're doing is how you guys are so well connected in the Olympic space hahah!
