Currently I'm trying to finish a guide on Beast Mastery incubation that has become a bigger project than I originally planned but once I'm finished I'd like to create videos on more focused topics of the game. I have some ideas regarding the game's professions but if there is some specific point(s) you'd hope to see covered in a video about the classes let me know!

Set them as goals and work towards them; that's the best way to experience SWG! Some of these things will be really easy, like resources for feeding creatures, and others will take time, like the Minder Gloves or Taming Necklaces. If the goals feel overwhelming I highly suggest joining a guild. People often recruit in the SWG Legends Discord and occasionally on the Legends forums.

The booster was a recent change on Legends as well as the parts being improved slightly. It is a VERY welcomed change giving how punishing the early game for space is. I also agree that I wish the quests would at least let you bank XP for when you do start a pilot trainer you don't have to think about grinding XP to level. Oh well, maybe Legends staff will update it in the future.

@@outofthisworldburrito I didn't realize it had a booster until about the second or third mission, when I looted one. Went to install it and there was one there! Also, you're right that all the equipment is better than most of what you loot there. The only thing I looted that was better, was an engine with slightly better stats. Other than that, it all ended up getting sold to the dealer when I landed. It is good to know they are updating and adding things, though. Going through Legacy with that character now, and when you mentioned that Watto gives the Barc speeder I was shocked! Also the skiff from Jabba's palace! Nice that they are giving some of those things as quest rewards to incentivize/reward players doing them. Looking forward to more videos!

Here is the setup I ran with for questing. >Assault Armor, Primus Layered (7.2K/5.6kEn/5.4kEl) with a Old Republic PSG w/78.9 Recharge Rate & capped Energy protection (2.9k) >Basics: Luck/Prec/Camo >Exotics: 1-H Damage/1-H Action Cost/1-H Critical Chance >Expertise: swglegends.com/expertise-calculator.php?e=7009b63240e-7e6904d2ae33-0-1 >Ent Buff: I was taking Action Cost Reduction, Kinetic/Energy armors, and I think Crit Chance or Glancing Blow depending on what I was doing. If you feel action management is tough invest in action cost reduction powerups for your weapon or prioritize getting the Razor Cat 5-pc Jewelry set. I was using Heroism here because I didn't want to buy a spy set. Once I got to doing group content I mixed up my build a bit to squeeze out more damage by swapping to a set of armor with Prec/Agi/Luck x5, Str/Agi/Luck x4 and moving to an expertise like this: swglegends.com/expertise-calculator.php?e=855195cbe6f-7e4dbbe753e2-0-1 I'd use camo power-ups or action cost reducing power-ups when I was solo/split from the group. In hindsight, I probably should've kept the passive Camo bonus in the tree and a few pieces of camo on my gear haha.

I'm glad it was helpful! The Creature Taming Index linked in the description is fairly complete with example waypoints to spawns for almost all of the tamable creatures at this point. For rasps I usually go to Talus and search the southeast and central south areas of the map (south of Dearic). They spawn in good numbers there.

The private server I play on, SWG Legends, averages between 700-1,200 players online each day at any time and I have experienced few connection issues. The server emulates the game as it was nearing its closure, the NGE era, so if you're looking for Pre-CU or CU you'll have to look into other emulators. I'm not sure how their populations or network stability may be as I don't play on other SWG emulators at this time.

After logging into the SWG Legends launcher you can click Settings at the top, then Game Settings, and in the new window click the 'Graphics' tab. Check 'Borderless Window' and after launching the game do the combination Alt + Enter on your keyboard. You'll then be able to easily tab in and out of the game.

If you enjoy space then you may find it fun to stick with these missions or run appropriate-level Duty Missions for awhile. If you're not too invested in space then putting piloting on pause is totally fine. When you make some credits playing the ground game you can purchase kits from players that contain all the parts you'd need to level a pilot to ace making the journey more straightforward. You can also purchase crafted ship parts appropriate for leveling individually. I found myself visiting Stoli's Shipyard (/way rori 5971 -571) and buying the Mark I's, Mark II's, Mark III's, and Mark IV's when I need them rather than all at once. Stoli's vendors also have information on how to put together ships, programming flight computers, and more.

The UI sound effects are one of the most nostalgic sounds in the game for me. I do a bit of crafting so I've certainly heard them a lot over the years.

I'm glad the videos have been helpful! I'm playing at 1920x1080 resolution without any UI scaling. If you feel some of the user interface elements are too small at that resolution the SWG Legends launcher has an option to alter it. You go to the launcher and login then click Settings > Game Settings > Graphics tab then modify the game scale.

Right bicep is the Marauder Right Bicep (Reconnaissance variant).

Yes. The overall method should work with other emulators of the NGE era but I'm not confident it would apply to Pre-CU or CU emulators since the progression system there are somewhat different. Similarly, you likely wouldn't be able to stack the same XP bonuses I did as their implementation is unique to Legends. However, other NGE servers might tweak XP rates, add items to increase XP gain, or just let you skip the leveling process altogether.

My fingers are willing sacrifices for better resource spawns on the server.

Nice luck on the BL! DWB can get competitive so it isn't unsurprising to hear people harassing others inside.

Thanks for the suggestions! Leveling Trader is pretty straightforward so I figured this was a good variation on the guide concept for this specific profession. I definitely ran out of ideas to fill the dead air though hence me getting into trivia stuff occasionally. In hindsight I could've talked about basic things, like toolbar layout or general Trader stuff, but I guess that's a consequence of setting a short, self-imposed deadline (I wanted to film and upload it the first day of double XP so it was relevant). I'll definitely keep your comment in mind for future videos.

There hasn't been a new, notable, sandbox MMO in awhile so I understand how nothing has scratched the same itch SWG did. I also know the community at that time was very active and special to some which isn't something easy to replicate. Luckily SWG is still alive with fans as there are multiple communities surrounding different emulators. SWG Legends seems to be the largest active community with a game that models SWG during the NGE, which is where I play. If you prefer earlier versions of the game then there are other emulators that do Pre-CU and CU eras now.

I think the argument some would make to this point is to vote in a different mayor or find a different city, but I agree that the system may be too flexible for the mayor alone. Perhaps if there was a cooldown associated with it in addition to the cost to reset so it wasn't flipped so often? Something like that may better fit Legends' vision for the system rather than the overhaul I suggested near the end of this video.

Something new will be added eventually, but I agree it would've been an appropriate addition with this update.

What is it?

The TIE Defender's loadout in this video was all crafted parts: r5 (Archetype C), e5 (Mark III), s5 (Mark III), two a5s (Mark III), c5 (Deepwell Gamma), b5 (BR-3x), three w5s (Prototype Ion Cannons), Mark III Droid Interface, Mark III Proton, and Chaff Launchers. The Archtype C Reactor, Deepwell Gamma capacitor, and BR-3x Booster are learned from schematics rewarded for completing part collections. The Prototype Ion Cannons are purchased as schematics from the Nova Orion Station for Midlithe crystals. You'll have to complete the Nova Orion Theme Park to use the vendors. The flight computer was just Engine Overload 4, Weapon Capacitor Overcharge 4, and Reactor Overload 3. For Ace pilots I'd probably suggest a TIE Defender that looks like this: r6, e0, s0, two a0s, c5 (could use a Deepwell Gamma), b3 (BR-2x), and three w8s. Flight computer is the normal overload/overcharge 4s with Shunt 2 and a Heavy Front Reinforcement if you're PvPing.

Yes, especially if you enjoy sandbox experiences due to the number of systems in the game. I tried to keep the 1-to-90 experience informative when possible which may help with the learning curve but I know my guides are more detailed in some spots. Even the level 90 starter guide has good info for new level 5s. If you have questions regarding the game I try to keep an eye on comments here and be receptive to chatting on stream. The SWG Legends Discord is a great resource and I have my own Discord server where I help out too.
