What grinds do you have on your Pelikans? I have a medium nib that I need to get tweaked because it's just too broad for me.

I don’t think Kirk Spear is capable of selling a poorly performing nib. I purchased two pens at the Triangle Pen Show. An Artcraft Celtic Dragon from Kirk. The tactile feel of this pen is fantastic, and the John, the maker of the pen, is very responsive and easy to work with. I also bought a beautiful Red & Black Ebonite pen from DarailPenz. Nice haul.

What a bummer about the Pelikan, but I’m so excited about your oblique grind on the Kaweco. I have a couple of oblique nibs and I definitely need to explore them further. I have one of the F-C pocket notebook covers and they are so well made. I hope your husband loves it. That tiny pen is awesome, and I love your Little Pen Designs pen. Totally gorgeous! Gorgeous! I’m a “regular” watercolorist but have never tried ink art. I am also a fountain pen enthusiast and use them for both writing and sketching. I actually live within an easy drive to Thoreau’s Walden Pond and have walked around it. What dilution of bleach water do you use? You don’t seem to worry about leaving it on the paper.

This new Kaweco fountain pen with piston mechanism is a charming and coherent continuation of the Sport series. The design is an absolute success, but it has one flaw that surprises me. The dimensions of the new Kaweco are identical to those of the regular Sport model, with one exception: the section goes deeper into the cap. On the regular Sport model, it measures 3.7 cm, while on the Sport Piston, it measures 4.3 cm. For this reason, the fountain pen is 6 mm shorter. This inexplicable fact reduces writing comfort, giving the strange impression that something is wrong. That's very unfortunate...

That's a really nice Kaweco collection. Is that a violet Al Sport, and what is the color of the other greenish one you have?

I ordered the exact pen with the same nib size from the same store in Italy. However, mine comes with the 30ml blue ink bottle and is halfway on it’s journey to me, l’m excited.

I was really surprised when someone from a popular pen company when I talk to him could not pronounce Kaweco correctly. He said. Kaw wake oh! Ugh! This guy is a professional. And I even pronounced it properly just to give him a little clue. And he pronounced it back to me the other way lol 😆 I think you may have just penabled me to get this pen, but then again, I do collect Kaweco pens!

That depression in the tin is to hold the ink bottle while you fill the pen. I’ve seen a review of the version that came with a bottle of ink and the bottle fits neatly in there.

Omg this was absolutely hilarious! One could totally tell how EXCITED you were! - the excited counter… the best! You make me want to ink up one of my vintage ones, haven’t used them in a while, except for the Dia that needs to be filled all the time. And BB is the way to go, I love the Kaweco brass with the double broad too! 🙌🏻🖋😘

@TheDormousesDesk Good grief! I suck! I cannot believe I wasn't officially subscribed!!!! I thought I subscribed Christmas last year when I first clicked over on recommendation from Matthew of The Wet Pen. I can't tell if I am subscribed on my phone app, where I do all my YT watching, because I am never logged-in there due to conflicting Apple accounts with my old phone.
