This works for me thanks, with HAG on I had random crashes on that went from 15 min playtime till 40 min playtime never know when that can happen, but now with HAG turned off it works like it should 1:30hrs and no crashes thanks.

It certainly will! This video is at a QHD+ (2880*1800) resolution though. A lower resolution like 1080p should yield significantly better results.

@@AffordableQHD4KGaming Thank you for answering. I already searched and I think the stutters are related to my RAM. I have a ryzen 5 3600 with 32 GB of DDR4 3200. with the EXPO profile already enabled, all I have to do is learn how to overclock my RAM. 6 months ago, I didn't see the point of DDR5 given the benches but in reality raw speed matters. I wanted to upgrade the 3600 to a 5700x3D but that doesn't solve the RAM speed problem. Damage

Its probably not because of your RAM. We have a Intel 10700F with 32 GB DDR4 running at 2400 MHZ. That works fine at Ultra without any issues even at 4K. The issue here is probably your CPU. We are assuming you are running the game on a SSD, so storage shouldn’t be a problem.

The 3600 may not be strong enough to keep the 7800 XT fully engaged and that is why you see stutters/ frame drops. Changing the CPU will fix this one.

I am assuming you are running these on a nvme ssd. If you have a specific fps target in mind, you can easily adjust some of these settings to hit that target. Look for RDR2 hardware unboxed optimized settings.

Please expect anywhere from 100-140 fps easily with your configuration.

Yup. It should definitely be in that range. Looks like the game did not properly apply the settings at the end along with nvidia reflex being in on+boost mode. Secondly, we do not have frame generation turned on as well. But given the specs of your configuration, the numbers you indicated are in the range they should be.

Definitely. The RTX 4070 does run out of VRAM when running at 4K with ultra settings and raytracing ON. This is not the case when running at 4K with raytracing OFF & with ultra settings.

Sincere thanks for watching the video. This is the 4060 laptop version with a TDP of 80-90W whereas the desktop version has a TDP of 115W. However, the laptop version performs really well for QHD gameplay. There are a bunch of videos in the pipeline and you will see the 4060M being a solid choice there.

@@AffordableQHD4KGaming alright keep testing interesting stuff and keep bring underrated gpus wonder how the 4070 laptop will do in dying light 2, days gone or even dead island 2 and whatever else you want i think the problem with 40 series laptops that they are just too expensive at times very often so it makes more people to go for desktop but i think if laptops were cheaper they could sell really well anyways thanks for the video and keep testing also i did subscribed.

The custom settings were adjusted in such a way that when HYPR-RX is used, it would mimic the custom settings that were chosen at native. Essentially, both settings were in sync.

Good question. It doesn’t look like a CPU bottleneck as the i7-13700 is a strong cpu. It could either be driver issues with the 4070 TI SUPER or game optimization issues with raytracing.

Not quite..we are not sure what the problem is. Maybe the game did not apply the settings fully. Maybe it needed a restart. However, we did not see any direct indication of DLSS causing an issue here.

Definitely agreed! For most people, the impact to performance because of raytracing is not worth it.

Copium. If the 4070 ti super can get 55-60 fps at native here than the 4090 would easily get close to 100fps.

@@dhaumya23gango75 That is a good point. If you look at the final chapter of the video, you would notice the GPU utilization hovering in the 50-60% usage ranges. We believe there is some issue either with the GPU driver or the game that makes the game not fully utilize the GPU when we toggle performance setting changes (especially raytracing). Ideally, the 4090 should be able to easily run this game with great frame rates even with raytracing.

I have never played this game, but the RT comparisons show a massive difference in the quality of the lighting (indirect shadows are missing without RT).

You do not need the strongest of components to run Diablo 4 at 4K except the GPU. We think we can perfectly enjoy this game at 4K with 60 FPS given the nature of this title.

Great question! It scales really well on other gpus. However, raytracing will make them struggle and so temper your expectations on that front. Otherwise, the game is really optimized well.

It is advised not to use triple buffering in gpus' with less than 16 gigs of VRAM. TB is typically used to smoothen out frame rates. We did not see much of a difference here in RDR2. Agreed! The settings changes are a little finicky and are not get applied consistently. This needs a little bit of getting used to.

Totally agreed. This is an awesome game with raytracing, upscaling and even frame generation.

The card has 16 gigs of VRAM, so higher resolution should not be a problem. Can you share your settings with us? We can help you modify them so that you can run in higher resolution.

@@AffordableQHD4KGaming Have you tried the default Intel voltage limits on your motherboard? Some people say this fixed the crashes for them.

The issue has been very sporadic actually. While we have not taken any specific steps to address the problem, we have not seen this occurring post those 2 rare instances. There were updates to windows & nvidia drivers and that may have indirectly helped in resolving this problem. We will keep this group updated if we see this again.
