A personalized follow up for you. The planchette error was know at the time of submission, hence sending them in the first place. The previous set of graded wolverines that came back 69 and 70 are all still looking brand new (no toning or milk spots). NGC only offered to refund my membership cost, not the cost of the submission, and has never accepted any fault in the grading issue. Let’s be honest here, no one would ever submit modern coins in that condition. The coins were mishandled and NGC, being the big company they are, refused to make it right. @@SilverHusky12 Silvee to the moon will never happen and every sensible person knows it. However, a 16 to 1 ratio or even an 8 to 1 ratio is very possible within the near future, especially having the depletion of global silver stock and a rising demand.

I thought the silver futures determine spot price. You would have to figure out who buys, sells, and cancels contracts. Which my understanding is impossible to follow daily. Also, food for thought, a global pandemic halted mining, increase demand, which hiked up premiums and Silver spot price couldn't even hit $33 dollars. lol Figure out the contract futures market, you figure out what drives the price to 0.00 or $50.00. IMO you're chasing a bigfoot thinking Silver spot price will hit $50.

Any or all of this could very well happen! With no crystal ball, we can only make our best and most educated guesses. It’s important to have every possible scenario laid out and then organize them into those most likely to least likely to happen.

To SilverHusky12, yes, if the collapse we get is a zombie apocalypse, where the vast majority of people are starving and killing each other for food and water, then gold and silver will have very little value to them. However, when things stabilize, people will need a medium of exchange that they all trust, and there is very little doubt that gold and silver will play a role.

It may well have been a one-off event. It could have been someone contracted to do grading from their home (just after Covid started) and they didn’t have good control standards in their home. There are many variables, but the fact remains that the coins were sent in on condition and returned way worse. No explanation was given and no real resolution was offered. My one-off experience is just that.
