fun times at chestnut north last year (9/4/2022) I saw that section of the trail after the recent renovations - that nice left turn one could ride in a few different ways became a sad boring generic rock garden... I've been looking forward to that bit every time but there is no challenge now... I am glad I recorded a few clips of that left turn when it was still nice... as usual, watch in HD - ...

i thought bukit timah is a hill. why the water didn't flowed down? how flat is the section.
it's a hill all right but the trail is around it, not through. that section was along a stream so it was getting flooded often. usually the water would go away after a couple of days but that time something kept the water in for a long time. a land slide perhaps but I'm not aware of any official info about that. in any case, the stairway to heaven is sealed off now, there is a new detour available.

Man, so many great comments here by smart people, I love type o negative, every October I listen to them everyday, Peter's favorite month..i saw them 3 times, way back man, i got to talk to Peter for a out 20 minutes, maybe more at a metalfest, i saw him standing there alone outside the tour bus, i walked up shook his hand, asked him to do an autograph for my girlfriend that could not make it, he did, i told him i liked the Carnivore days, he was so cool man, it was an honor to hang out with him with no interruption, it was the October Rust tour..R.I.P. Peter, i miss him and the band...fuck...

nah, long time ago, april last year when the trail was still on the rough side. that was a professional fall, no damage :) but the other day I did a classic flip over the handlebar and landed in front of a bus, I could not cough or sneeze for a month, my ribs were killing me, I kinda wish I had gopro strapped on me that time, that clip would have been much more interesting :/
Still seems rough to me, but I'm glad to hear you're OK =) That other accident indeed sounds way more dangerous...
