PA Farms
Registrace 26. 04. 2015
Hey guys. This channel is mostly a daily vlog of farming operations in the mountains of Pennsylvania. I grow corn, soybeans, and make hay. A few things about myself, I worked as a Equipment mechanic at a Case IH dealer for 10 years. So I’m a fan of Red equipment. My channel does offer something for both John Deere guys and some Massey and New Holland.

Once again I’m forced to make another voiceover video due to not getting any new content recorded…. Hopefully that will start changing soon… it’s going to be a tough year for me and the family. Often times changes result in something better… hopefully that’s the case in this instance. Thanks again-Pa
Drought….. a bad one…..

IHC man for life
Thank you for the excellent content and your knowledge, hope to see more videos! My wife and I are trying to farm in eastern Pennsylvania but have to many land monopolizers, a nice way of saying it. Where in Pennsylvania are you located?
Have you ever had a problem with the hay wrapping around the top roller ?
How long did you let it idle? before pumping breaks or steering? Does the PTO bleed itself?
Question there is a 395 by me going on a farm auction do they have hydraulic steering I have a IH 454 and the steering is terrible so before I go bid it would be good to know thanks for any help
My 656 starts really hard injectors were tested and passed inspection head was removed and inspected and replaced with a new gaskets so my next thing is rebuilding injection pump.
“Has gone” not “ has went”. Sorry a big peeve from a retired teacher.
I would have ate a skunk for that tractor
Excellent video! It really explains why i have had su h a struggle with my IH 484! Thank you.
Nice video man! I just picked up a case 585 and I’m about to start maintenance on it. It lost the hydro dip stick though. What is the measurement on your dipstick and inches from the bottom to the high and low level? I just want to build my own.
What is the tank of pink fluid on the top of the baler? The fluid level does not seem to change.
Early or late styled? Early styled has a steal spring seat and a late styled has a cushion seat. So name the seat!
You glossed over the trickiest part. (Installing the O-ring). That’s why people are coming to this video.
Nice video . Thanks
The tall lever to the left of the seat is the hydraulic lever for the power troll.
Beautiful countryside and beautiful tractor.
Sounds good to me, and i learned on a Farmall H. I love both brands.
We have a 966 Hydro and it's one of the best tractors we've ever owned. My future plans is to restore a 1466 Turbo with the 436 engine.
Thanks for your time and best of luck from neighboring Ohio.
How big is the generator running the elevator? You running it @ 120v or 240v?
Good video. Red tractors, 2nd gen Ram, orange mower. How can you dislike that?
How many tractors you need? hehe...
You haven't even scratched the surface on the problems of the 86 series tractors. International was in financial trouble during the construction of this series plus the 88 series. After years of spending all my profit on these red tractors, I finally wised up and bought green. The 86 series tractors I just went from one issue to the next. Every year there was always something failing or breaking. Engines, transmissions, radiator, hydraulic system and the list goes on.
The 1086 1981 piston hydraulic pump. Do you know much about them? Noisy or wear? The flow control on spools causes of piston pump to wear out?
Just saw this video, 6 years old, but as a retired machinest, l could build one of these that would take a Fram HP1 filter that also the adapt. would be a lower profile. Just saying, maybe for $30. from my scrap drop inventory of aluminum. Next project for my 806 Farmall. Nothing wrong with the stock cannister though.
Hate to hear that it's over. Hopefully there will be greener pastures ahead. Enjoyed your videos and your most excellent IH collection and information. Keep us all posted with how things go and what you are up to.
The shorts were brought in to bring over the TikTok viewers. Good luck 👍
Farm toy Friday’s was my jam!! Be well my PA friend
While I do like your video and your advice, you skip a whole bunch of steps. So far I haven't found the transmission filler plug on the operator's manual or service manual or anywhere else, if there was a video with the whole details of transmission oil and filter change would be greatly appreciated.
I just recently in the past year and a half discovered your channel. The content was top notch. Personally if you wanted to end the channel and move on that’s your prerogative; however, personally i would like to see the Super C get an overhaul and if you decide to start farming again. That would be a very welcomed thing doesn’t have to be at the scale that you did it but your knowledge and experience I think should be documented! I would like to here more on your farming experience plus what you do to the Super C I might be doing on my 130 so I will be following along!
Hi always love yr videos I have small farm and we would miss you take care 😊
just curious how did you get one without a canopy?
My Grandfather, father and myself have owned IH/caseIH tractors since the 60's and my father and I who are both Mechanics worked for IH and CaseIH in New Zealand. A common issue that can arrise is a worn or faulty torque amplier(16 speed transmission option) generally a worn clutch pack or failed sprag bearing, there were weaknesses in the design but it was often due to driver error or abuse. The std 8 speed transmissions tends to be a lot more reliable. In the 85 and 95 series extra plates were added to the T/A clutch pack which made it much stronger and more reliable. Otherwise really good all round tractors. They were extremely popular here in New Zealand with a very good dealer network and back up service.
My 475 is losing drive when in Hi TA while doing loader work when shifting forward or reverse depress the clutch once or twice then it regains drive is this caused by worn seal rings on the shaft any ideas
How many hours does your 685 & 395 have?
We had a few, 656,706,1066,1486. Oh, and the m. All served us well. Not perfect, by any means, but reliable. Really good engine on all of them.
I know I haven't followed and watched your videos for a long time, but the historical information was always super interesting. Good luck in the future. I always like watching videos of people fixing tractors and making good content. I used to be a mechanic, and I am always trying to pick up new tips and tricks.
Thanks for documenting this barn before it rots away. Did the chickens just fly out of the second story windows?
Always enjoyed the videos will definitely miss it
If this is it, thanks for all the content over the years.
How’s parts availability on these? I would assume good, anyone have any trouble finding anything they need?
Always enjoyed your videos, thanks for taking the time to make them. Hopefully this isn't your last. Good luck for the future!
I've been watching you from almost day 1. It's been a journey. Wish you luck for future and hope you might get some content every now and then. You're right about the current CZcams trend being "Shorts". The downside, is all the stupid scripted stuff that people put up. Seems like the shorts are more comic central.
Become a trucker and come hobby farm up in the 814 on the weekends.
Wishing you nothing but the best. I Have enjoyed your channel over the years. I'm about 45 minutes west of you
You were one of my favorite channels, always quality input.
Tractor rebuilds are pretty popular on CZcams. If you do a rebuild you should post it.
Sad to see you go. I loved the content, smaller farms can't seem to do much in todays world though unfortunately, can't ever seem to get traction and get comfortable.
Sorry that you're leaving CZcams. You were one of the first channels I watched when I started watching CZcams a few years ago. Always enjoyed your videos. Maybe you'll start up farming again and start making videos again. I hope so. Will miss you!
Always enjoyed your videos. kept looking and wondering if youd had any new videos. understand life takes over. gotta keep doing what makes you happy. god bless
Glad your doing good
