I haver a 15 year old pc i just replace 8 monts ago, the problem i have back them i buy a hdd 500gb WD green sata3 and the motherboar is sata1 pc never see the HDD, then to maked work i have put a old sata1 hdd i have on the side then put the sata1 on a master position and the WB green in slave position(jumpers and all) and wala the pc see the new hdd. is comon to have problems with sata3 divice to sata1 ports or is just my bad luck? i like to buy a SSD for tha old pc to be use like a emulator machine and windows7 system, problem i don't know if the SSD is gona work thats the other question? i like to see you thoughts on the questios, thanks a lot before hand.

I have a question because my pc only supports 40 pin ide/pata but I need an internal floppy drive for multiple reasons I searched for solutions like sata converters or pci/pcie expension cards but only found solutions for 40 pin cables and none 34 pin solutions. Good afternoon ! I wanted to know if the SATA data cable is universal. Or there are 3 different cables, 1 for SATA 1, the other for SATA 2 and another for SATA 3. Because I have an HD that is Sata 3 and I don't want to make mistakes and connect it with a SATA 1 data cable and not take advantage of the maximum speed.
