You should think about setting certain spaces of your hospitals with diagnosis rooms near the beginning areas and then branch out with treatment in the others as a means to control how patients traffic around.

Am I right in seeing that you left the libricant outputs of 2 / 4 of the processing chem plants unconnected? Was that just for potential future capacity, or am I missing something?

So I believe that you can use your Consultants to fill up some of the rooms. This way you don't have to waste time looking for so many entry level doctors. I also think that you can level up the Consultants in the research room. They need time away from the exam rooms in order to be able to use it. The game seems to assign the first doctor that is free from other duties. This is probably why you can't get the specific doctor you want. There are a few ways to you can try to get more research done. Use the Auto-doctors to give them some time to research stuff, they can free up some doctors for research and rest time. Assign multiple doctors to each room. This will cost more money and will take more time to find doctors. Also for the decorations, I believe that each Species has specific things they consider Ordinary Decorations. Try looking at the alien types to see what types of decorations they each like. The desires tab lists all of the species. You need to select each one to see what they desire. Make a template for each species, including bigger room sizes for bigger aliens. (labeled: Species-Room Type-size)

I don't know, if you noticed, but the Training room can actually have 2 training machines. It said so in the tooltipp when you contructed the room. Same with the research lab.

At 41:31 and 42:50, in Timberborn, navy blue is the best type of blue. Sky blue is the worst unless you are growing the shallow-water crops.

It looks like each treatment takes a different amount of time. The bone ones look like they take a while and the centrifuge ones are pretty short.

Still haven't figured out the decorations issue...you skipped over the ordinary decorations in the purple store...

There's multiple sandboxes in blueprint sandbox in the drop down menu in the top left while inside. One of them is shared to all multiplayer if you two desire to play in the same sandbox :)

I think paintings are "Art" not "Ordinary Decorations", there is another tab that has the same icon as in the complaints. I think they want items from there instead.

I had first watched this as background noise at work and thought I was mishearing boning chamber, because to me boning was what you do to remove bones from meat. Then looking at the video, it really said boning chamber. And 40:00 confirmed it really IS a boning chamber. Now, I don't feel like I'm going as crazy...

Hi Katherine, after 7 years this game still has no tutorial so a walk-through for a beginner scenario has been very informative.

Hello. Hope you are feeling better after SX. Was watching Ep. 8 and found a great way to kill Biters. I got bunch of Defender robots and LOTS of grenades. Would launch like 10-15 defenders and then started throwing grenades. Would run around avoiding acid but the combination got rid of the Biters and the base very quickly. I did setup 2-3 turrets just out side of the Biter base incase I had to run for safety. Hope this helps for your future encounters.

Looks like a game made for children. I do not mean that as a compliment. The murder of gingerbread men is vugar and would mostly likely have the most appeal with young teen boys. Eye-rollingly sophomoric effort by these devs.

"Normally I don't like story in any kind of game." That's a refreshing dash of honesty for something that may get you some flak. I fully agree, and I feel that - with a few exceptions - games are not an ideal media for storytelling. And that's coming from an avid consumer of fiction in many other media, mainly but not limited to books.

Regarding the mystery of the multiplying doctors, I suspect it's your various doctors not being "locked" to their assigned work spots, so they can roam to other rooms which are in need of a doctor. So instead of multiplying, they just tend to move to other workspots. If you do wish to lock doctors to specific rooms, job wise, there is a lock icon in the information window you get when you left click in a room with an assigned doctor.

Hey KoS, this is a great tutorial, like all of your tutorials, and you're awesome for sharing your blueprints. I did notice your modular two-reactor-belted BP doesn't quite mesh with the 4 and 6 reactor BP's, the reactors are offset a little relative to the exchanger/turbine arrays compared to the other two. They're terrific blueprints all the same, thank you for sharing them, and for the tutorials!

This feels like an odd amalgam of Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory and Sugar Apple Fairy Tale, except the designer wanted to make a Satisfactory clone.

You should have additional doctors for research, otherwise they'll prioritise doing operations. If you fill all your rooms with doctors and lock them there, then get three extras with research bonuses, they'll do nothing but research. Also, the decorations have various categories; ordinary, plant, art, etc. You need to place a certain amount of each, and you don't really need to place them all around. You can just fill a single area with them if you want. I like to draw lines everywhere. Sort of like guidelines going through the corridors to show where patients need to go, which easily fill the "ordinary" requirement.

Bobtail cats are a trip! Its the best when they wiggle their little tails like a puppycat :)
