Apparently the elevators have been a problem at every single campus for quite some time so disabled students have a big issue getting up to see people like Mr Lee Peavy

I am a returning adult graduate of Merritt College from 30 years ago and I will say the elevator is still a problem but Mr peevey who is disabled just a struggle to get up to his office after all this time. And that elevator was a problem 30 years ago.

I can't say how well Mr Lee Peevey was there for his students here at Merritt

I want to thank Mr Lee Peavy at Merritt College for being the absolute best disability assistant at the top of his department. And I really wish they would fix the elevator for him in campus

Barbra Lee, thank you for your service. Times are changing, who would have ever thought we would ever be 5% of the total population. The history of how we got here in the Bay Area. Thank you for telling this story, even during our declining years. Our time in the Bay Area is very short now. The last family Panic I remember when Everyone was still alive was in “Moss wood Park”, I think the “Tower of Power” was giving a free concert. Many drive by the Original site of Merritt College and don’t know what the building was or what it meant. If you ask someone where Merritt College is they immediately point up in the Oakland Hills, no one now’s why it was relocated. Barbra Lee, it was a shame to watch the base that supported you for years just walk away. They said good bye with their votes. The 21st will erase this time in history by pretending it never existed. I was born at Herrick Hospital, I am Berkeley. There are just a handful of people left from my generation that still live here in 10yrs we will be lost to History. It’s a sad fact, and very painful to think about. I am glad that I was raised in this environment. It’s not a gun, that protects me from the Police. It’s my mind my mentality is my strongest weapon. One thing I miss, is the relationship the Black Community had with the Japanese community. Those early Japanese people that where here before us . They endured every heart ship, and now their legacy is almost over. Tracy Hamada, was a classmate of mine in the 5th. He is one of the handful of people left here in Berkeley. I will always be his friend.

The depiction of the brother with the gun and scope is a great injustice to the original definition and goals of the original organization... who eventually became the Black Panthers! Who though militant did not intend to start a war.... but was determined to make changes in an openly racist system...... That violently oppressed the black people in their communities of the cities of America! With protection of the elderly, breakfast programs for our hungry children, and the rise of Black Consciousness.. .. As stated in this video by forcing our schools to teach our true Black history. Which was a great asset to the awareness in our communities across America. The guns started the deterioration and downfall of these high goals for our community!.. It was also a part of the strategy of social engineering that destroyed our communities across America !

...how do you figure Merritt college is the home of the Black Panthers..???..true, some may have attended as I did but would not say it was home to the Panthers... I went to Oakland High with many Panthers .uniform of the day was Afro, black beret and leather jacket..many went to Laney also...

I took dance here and at the College of Alameda. I can honestly say with authority--this is the better place.

Sadly, no students receiving their diplomas. Only a few students appear getting degrees. I hope they find the important parts, the students receiving degrees.. A bit disappointed that the Merritt students were erased.. :-(

No I was taught by English teacher 1966 about what is propaganda because uses emotion not facts.
