The independent production line is gone, and there’s no longer applying darkest scenes to confront children's fears. Eighteen years ago, this was the beginning of the end of Pixar which has been a slow decline just like The Simpsons but "better". Some movies are good, alas those are not a the level of the golden age between the 1990s and the 2000s, and I think after D23 2024 both Disney and Pixar are finally falling behind with unnecessary sequels, exploitation for copyrights, maintaining their franchises alive and creating live action of classical movies. If new movies are still good, it doesn’t mean that those are going to reach the level what two studios did in the past, but kids are going to love it, whether old fans like it or not. Thus, I am a veteran of animation who has an independent criterion like any person for mental experience and sentiments.

Yes, but not for the bots, but because they hate deadlock out of principle over similarity to overwatch or because percieved dev time being stolen from tf2. It doesn't really make sense to scream about it negatively if it isn't for you, but fullon spite campaigns...tf2 gets fixed they just always let hackers do shit for years as usual, no one remembers history. TF2 seems to do things to people, not realizing if deadlock didn't exist they would prob still do nothing to tf2 or whatever else, tf2 players are insane which is fun at 2am but the moment you get out of game it's pretty insufferable. In a perfect world, TF2 would be the the longest maintained legacy game and I could even play it on console. Sadly I've never had a working PC so I might miss out on the game forever, especially if the braindeads on twitter get their way.

The only progress I've been seeing in my life is the kind that only leads to hubris and excess. Take generative AI for example, it only seems to cause more misinformation in an age where misinformation is already running rampant as it is. Tf2's main problem is the community, they're bunch of gay (unironically) snowflakes and every community-demanded update/balance has only made the game worse. Like meet-your-match for example, or chat and spray/sign censorships, it's all community's fault for crying about those things and blowing them out of proportions on social media and youtube. Bots are ESPECIALLY community's problem since most of the bot hosters ARE part of the community, they aren't just some russian/chinese hackers who hate the game for no reason, they actively play the game and for one reason or another decided to ruin Casual (but not the community servers, suspiciously).

One thing i'd like to add, is that playing another game wile being a "gaming resident" as described here is not betrayal. If you are interested in other games, and want to paly, and play them, you are betraying no one. You can have your main game, but you can also play other things. And I heavily encourage getting curious about games that seem intreresting to you. I keep saying that there are many games out there and that people should play them instead of sticking to only one game. When I say this, I don't ask for people to stop playing their main game, I ask that they play another game on the side, because I know that at some point, they will think gaming is boring because they will exhaust litterally all you can do in that one game. It takes years if not decades to reach that point, but that person will most likely leave the game out of boredom with bad feelings about it. EDIT : I'm realizing I'm not that clear on my message so I'll say it this way : I often tell people to "play something else", but I tell people to play alongside, not instead of.
