I use to have clothes shop in Bermondsey and Paul’s mum and brother use to come in and buy clothes for him he was in rehab in Southampton got himself clean then relapsed ended up in a dingy room in Bristol with a needle 💉 hanging out of his arm and that took his life so sad !! Rest in peace Paul vaessen 👍

I was there that day, we were great. Then a week or 2 later when we won in dramatic fashion at Highfield Road I was on the pitch with loads of jubilant Gooners after Paul Mariner scored the late winner. Travelling back down the M1 we were all convinced that we were going to win the League.
