How do powerful icebreakers work? (Nuclear and diesel)
zhlédnutí 935Před 3 měsíci
Not every ship can break through giant blocks of ice, taller than a house, to reach these regions. And that's what icebreaker ships were designed for. They enable the rescue of other ships, opening channels, conducting patrols, performing research, and even tourism. Meet the powerful nuclear and diesel icebreakers. How does a submarine surface? And how does it not capsize?
zhlédnutí 4,6KPřed 6 měsíci
Even in the vastness of the ocean, the size and power of a submarine are impressive. But its greatest potential lies in its stealth, submerging and becoming almost invisible to the enemy's eyes for months. Until it needs to surface again to replenish supplies such as food and water, fuel, and ammunition, or even to conduct maintenance. But how does it manage to submerge and surface again? This ...
What is this huge thing on the ship's hull?
zhlédnutí 1,6KPřed 6 měsíci
Subscribe, it's free! Have you ever wondered why there is that nose at the tip of a ship's hull, just below the waterline? When a ship moves, it expends a certain amount of energy to push the water in front of it out of its way, generating waves that propagate along the hull. Among the different types of ships’ resistances, this wave-making is one that causes the greatest drag. This is where th...

Care to guess what a 300 mile range F-150 lightning can do with over 7000 pounds of trailer range is? Less than 100 miles. But what can you expect from a ford
Love this channel and its content
They need a camper not a walk in closet
Thanks for the video. My takeaway is that you don't get points for innovating without solving anything. Improvement without improvement is not progress.
Searched for this and accidentally put another o instead of the p and got an entirely different result.
😂😂👌👌👌
As a day cab, it might be feasible if it can be changed at the company terminal. Having the driver's seat in the middle of the cab looses the "sight side" that most loading docks are setup for, but in the rare instances that one has to back the truck and trailer into a dock on the "passenger side" you probably do gain some visibility and ease of backing. Having a truck that is only suitable as a day cab, yet has a week base of a sleeper truck, looses the slight length and significant turning radius that is essential for most day cabs today as most docks for local drivers who drive day cabs are in even tighter spots than sleeper trucks. The two giant computer screens are a HARD NO for me. I have to turn my 7" elog tablet's screen completely off at night as it's absolutely blinding. I don't even care for a gps larger than 5" at its minimal brightness at night. And yes, engine breaks, airbags dump guage, differential locks and air breaks all need to be tactical, physical buttons. As a truck driver of 23 years, I'd love to take one on a test drive, but honestly, it costs multiple times more than the superior trucks that people use now and simply has way too many issues to be useful except for soda distributions, beer distributors, big box store deliveries and similar situations. Interesting idea though. I don't hate it, but it would have been vastly superior final product had the design team talked to a few veteran truck driver's and tried to maybe solve some of the problems we face with conventional semi trucks, instead they opted to make our job significantly more challenging. Looks cool, but it's unusable and extremely expensive for most trucking companies.

That’s simply for the reason that Tesla won’t have to manufacture different settings for different markets. Remember that the UKs former colonies all driving on the wrong side of the road, that isn’t the right one! Got it?
We will see if this company is around in 5 years, I suspect not.
Diesel locomotives use generator - motor configuration because transmission and clutches designed for such a load will be too heavy and will require huge maintenance!
How many has been delivered?
Exactly electric motors charged by a diesel motor electric only will never work
Tesla: We are a not a car company, we are a tech company. ## so the question is, why are idiots buying cars and trucks from a tech company?
It really does show how detached their designers and engineers are from practicality. They're obsessed with a minimalist design without thinking about functionality and practicality. They basically design trucks for people who don't drive trucks. Its what some silicone valley tech guy believes a semi truck should be and not what a truck driver knows it should be.
Fanboi garbage. Tesla will be bankrupt in under 3 years. How will you get your Tesla fixed *then*, huh?
☝️ this is true.
I feel like trusting a channel that uses an AI voice is just natural selection at this point
I think it's a uglyass POS space mobile
No bed no deal, Peterbeit will always be driver's fav
That's how lots of cars today are designed. By people who don't understand what drivers do and need.
With diesel generator 😂
Tesla makes garbage. EV's will eventually die out in the next 8 to 10yrs.
Doubt WE deffinetly inovate and get better Technology espailclly If WE finally Go to nuclear Energy AS source
Just install a slide rail to slide the driver left or right and make sure the window rolls down Just in case you haft to spit out of it after eating spicy chips 😂
yeah.. the bed is important.. specially it's an electric truck. Most truck need to stay in a gas stop for about 10min average electric vehicle stays charging for like what 30min-1hr.. what do you expect the driver will do for 30min to an hour? I'll tell you what, sleeping and resting is not one of it because the truck that takes longer to refuel/recharge has no bed!!
use wind power at night, solar power during the day
electric trucks won't take off, their range is far too short to be practical
Give IT some years maybe WE invent soemthing cool
Teslas screens already have a really terrible track record with longevity and trucks like this are supposed to last a million miles plus something going wrong with those screens and disabling the entire vehicle is not a risk transport companies will want to take all that downtime because they had to put all the button on some cheaply made tablet
DEISL FOR EVER!!!!!
A place to change your clothes but none for sleeping. So, if you can't sleep there, why would you need to change clothes?
Drink that Kool aid
seems the horse butt strikes again... roman charriots and wagons were built to accomodate the size of their engines (horses) to a given width, said width became the standard for roads, which later became the standard for railroads, (after all, most of what was being hauled had a pre existing structure to take it from point A to B, so new tech adapted to whatever was before), that trend limited the size of freight trains, which in turn put a limit on the diameter of boosters for the space shuttle, limiting the power those provide. trucks have evolved said geometry to accomodate to the structures of wagons, changing that just because it's cool won't work
It'll never happen. They can't recharge the trucks fast enough.
This truck has potential just needs better leadership ideal with truckers involved
so... whats the useful load?
Almost nothing If i remmeber correctly Like 4 Tons max
What is the GVM of all this. In AU haulage is to be done on GVM which is load of vehicle and load. EV's have them batteries which add weight to the GVM and I would guess lower the payload, which is what making money in the trucking industry is about. They do say Pepsi has some Tesla Semis, but they from what I see are hauling Lays crisps. Which if you have bought a packet of crisps and a bottle of soda/drink the weight density is way off. My experience at working at a grocery DC and knowing what Schwepps and Coke bring in, it would be difficult for a heavier Semi to bring in those soda drinks. i.e. A 24 taught liner can only bring in 23 pallets of Fanta yet can bring in a full load of Diet Coke, that sugar makes Fanta heavy and tips the 24 as being too heavy.
And if the driver has to show their passport or give some papers to the toll they have to get out the car
German base in Afghanistan totally vulnerable to rocket and artillery attack. This nonsense of a design - housing men in tents - seems to have been created by Americans in Vietnam.
The cab is the least of that things problems.
Meanwhile, RIvian made a delivery van for Amazon, and they've listened the end users. And guess what, they all praise it, to the contrary to truck drivers with the Tesla semi truck
1:06 hilarious
Battery discharges faster in cold weather greatly reducing the ideal conditions mileage.
Up to maybe half the payload capacity of its internal combustion counterpart. Trying to add more capacity just increases the weight and reduce the range.
Uh, I hate the touchscreen only controls.
500 miles is a fair fistance that's a good 10 hours driving, can charge in between shifts
LOL describing Tesla as disruptive is hilarious. Not to mention their semi and cybertruck are a disaster. Also, fun fact, Volvo make more EV semis, and has a better safety track record, and is more reliable.
Completely agree , we drive European trucks and the seating position is such a waste of space . The touch screens are useless , we do have them but nowhere near as big or distracting as those things
Hey Tesla, with all that room to the left and right of the driver, how about a seat that can be shifted left and right for the driver's preference, and window access?
