I dont mind reused animations, as much as how mechanical, stilted and just un-dynamic and boring they are. they are calm and floaty, when you most likely would be reloading in the middle of combat. But the animations convey no readiness or fear. They convey no emotional, anything really

Fallout 3 and New Vegas had awsome gun animations, and even animations for when guns jammed or broken, in Fallout 4 the gear condition system is inexistent which is an sin from Bethesda as that was an important aspect for an survival game, the animations are re-used over and over for almost all guns, most guns in this game lacks in logic, their design is horrible with the exception of the Handmade Rifle and a few others. I don't expect nothing from Bethesda anymore, if they decide to make another canonic Fallout game, they better give the project in the hands of Obsidian

The worst part of this isn't the reuse of animations, which I normally wouldn't mind, it's that they designed many of the weapons around the shared animation despite how bad it makes the animations look for some guns, and how ugly and unrealistic some of the gun designs have to be to work with them.

I'd always love the Fallout 4's Weapon Designs although they're things are different, ugly or some parts on the wrong side, i always love them

To give them a very slight break. CC content couldn't add new sounds or animations, if they did, they wouldn't be allowed to sell them on the PlayStation. Its the same reason mods on PlayStation have so many limits PC and Xbox mods don't.

Most of the weapons on this list have mods on nexus that change their animations and jt makes them feel so much better.

Khvostov and Reckless Oracle are the only autos in the game with the Destiny 1 Auto Rifle Reload animation.

Ah yes, infamouce adrenaline shooter series- Fallout. I can agree with people saying that the writing got worse. But calling out a fallout for lazy gunplay is like saying that Doom1993 lacks vehiecles or that war thunder have too little ragdolls in it.

well if it aint broke... in their defense, there's probably like 1000 different guns in destiny 2. I think they could definitely have some unique reload animations for exotics. as apposed to fallout 4, where theres only like 20 base guns and a ton of unique guns that just share animations. they definitely could've added more reload animations.

A lot of things in Fallout 4 were done with very low effort, That's just one of the many flaws of this garbage game, You wouldn't need a professional game designer to make a game that is more creative.

Working with the GECK on FNV is hell so I kinda understand but then again they should just STOP USING A FUCKING ANCIENT ENGINE. Animation sets control SO MUCH on a single weapon that just changing how the weapons are gripped via an animation will break 90% of the guns.

I think, unpopular opinion, but the Next Fallout Game should be done in Unreal Engine. And maybe outsource the animations to other studios or maybe even Fans, like Hitman4718 would make the guns speak and the reloads absolutely immaculate. And theFriedTurkey should model the weapons and armour, and other objects. Like, Fallout needs to evolve, and it's been irrelevant for a long time, until the release of the Fallout TV show rejuvenated interest in the franchise. Todd is holding the franchise back. We need to move forward.

I think my favorite detail is that, for the Cryolator (and whatever that CC thing is), the power cell is inverted, meaning you’re just sticking the dull end into the gun, the black end is the actual port on it. I think this was fixed with 76’s version of the gun (as well as the cryo cells now being blue instead of the standard yellow), however.

There are A LOT of problems i have with Destiny and Bungie that led me to stop playing. This isn't one of them. The purpose is that it helps remind the player what type of weapon they're using, in a game that has more registered weapons than every Blue city in America combined (keyword: registered).

I'm okay with this over fallout's because atleast these animations are crisp, fallout's are so clunky and just feel awkward as fuck

One of the biggest reasons Fallout New Vegas has such a cult following is definitely the firearms. All of them fit in the world and with he ADS you get much more feedback than in Fallout 3. The worst part of Fallout 4s guns are the fact they are mostly left handed and they look boring or downright ugly.
