I recently started working in construction, it's amazing how many people there are who don't know this stuff. A lot of the supervisors use the laptops every day for an hour or two but aren't strictly office workers so nobody bothers to teach them, they only learnt how to use crtl C a few months ago. I had to show someone today how to get two tabs up on the screen at the same time. Just because you think something is simple doesn't mean everyone else will understand

The entire point of the video is to teach people the bare basics of shortcuts that they need to know to use a computer.

I’m specifically saying in the video, that I don’t edit videos on the iPad and never will, because many of the apps are very limited compared to their computer versions. If you intend to edit videos, then go ahead and upgrade. I’m saying that 99% of people don’t need this extreme power which this iPad can give, which is true since it’s a very small amount of people that needs to edit big projects in Da Vinci Resolve, do big 3D projects and game in High quality, since that’s a nice to have feature but not need to have.

If you're planning to work with external storage, then as far as i'm aware of.. you need the iPad Pro. If you intend to use a 1TB external SSD, then just go for the 256GB version, that should be more than enough internal storage 😁

Since you come from a 2018 version iPad Pro, then it might be a great time to upgrade. If you choose either the Air or the Pro, it'll be a major difference but i will say that it sounds like you're using the iPad very much like myself (mostly productive tasks), and i would not choose the iPad Pro simply because it seems like it's only really beneficial for 3D and gaming. So I would save the money and go for the Air version, since this is still a beast that you can have for a long time.

@@Ekstra_EU Thank you! I ended up ordering the 512gb pro. My current iPad is using 310gb of space. I use my iPad every single day. I’m thinking that a lot of changes are coming to iPad since they launched the M4 chip on an iPad and all the chatter of on-device AI. Plus I like FaceID and the 120mhz display. In the end, $400 will be worth it if it lasts as long as my current iPad. I appreciate your excellent thoughts.

Also if u want to know why I will probably benefit from the M4 iPad pro in my use case.. As a student pilot we use iPads in the cockpit but as you can imagine there is a lot of light in the cockpit and if the sun hits it and you can’t read it well that makes for a difficult situation.

Yes, i see. The thing is however that 1000nits peak brightness and 1600 peak HDR brightness isn't new, it was the same on the last generation (2022) iPad Pro, the difference is only that it now has a new Tandem OLED Display which also has 1000 nits peak and 1600 peak HDR brightness. I also feel like that's a lot of money extra to spend for only a brighter screen, but for you it's probably just pennies extra to spend, so in this case i understand why you want the Pro model. @@Ekstra_EU ow did the 12.9 Inch M2 iPad pro have 1000 Nits full screen in SDR ? I though it was only in HDR and 600 in SDR 🤔. But well the advantage is that the 11-Inch version now has it because the 13-Inch is too big for the cockpit 😆. But make no mistake student pilots are broke as hell 🥲😅😅 with a loan of €120000

@@Ekstra_EU I checked on Apple’s website and yes it was only 600 Nits in SDR on the 12.9 Inch as-well . Now 1000Nits so quite a bit better.

Do you think I should get the new air or the new pro?

@@suli_xli it depends on what you find important. the new 13'' ipad air is even more pro than the first gen ipad pro. but it still has a 60 hertz display, and an IPS display. so if you don't mind that, if you don't need a 120 hertz OLED display, well you can still edit videos in a very good way on it and you can still use procreate for example.

Yes you can do a lot of the same with an iPad Mini, I just don't see a point in having an iPad mini if i already have an iPhone 14 Pro Max. + I really like the bigger screen real-estate, so i would never choose an iPad that small, but this is all personal preference 😁

I feel like if they're gonna make an extremely overkill iPad like what the new iPad Pro M4 is, then they should at least make a special "Pro" operating system or some more apps that actually can take advantage of the power. If even an artist like you don't see a point in getting the Pro model, then i really feel like they're starting to lose their grip on what their customers are looking for in an iPad. @Ekstra_EU 100% agree. Though, It is nice to know that individuals who have pcs and such won't need to pay €1000+ for tablets that will be used as a secondary workstation or personal use. I've also seen for the Galaxy S9 Ultra that you are able to do a homepage setup similar to a Windows pc, which is a nice option for personal preference with customization. There are some apps that are exclusive to Apple that make it a bummer, tho. Even so, like you said, the machine itself is already powerful enough. I'd dip the camera overall just to get more ram & updates for optimization, maybe.

542 mAh, On paper it should last 36 hours and 72 hours in low battery mode. These specs are also quite accurate to what i've experienced 😊
