The US was helping both sides for $, and the internment camps were in character for a country with chain gangs and prison labor.
It was definitely a sad day in US history. The fact that American born citizens got locked up for nothing other than their ancestry is really sad. The crazy part is most of them were highly patriotic and the Japanese American division in Italy served with distinction.

Made a road trip a few months ago to see my Mom in Central Cal. - It was amazing to see how much tillable land had been converted to orchards & groves which had old growth removed for new. We drove by at least a dozen dairies large & small in our vicinity. However, none are of this type which retail direct to consumer.
It's true, it is all getting paved over for housing developments. Thank you for visiting.
