It is a very pleasant smell. No one seems to be bother when smoking it. I usually get the comment that people near me enjoy the aroma.

Dude... You have Presbyterian Mixture MELANGE. Thats a TOTALLY DIFFERENT BLEND. Where on earth did you even get that? Its only sold in Europe. Presbyterian Mixture is WAYYYYY different from the German version of Presbyterian Mixture Melange.

Have noticed if someone is talking the pipe will go out simply because tobacco is not being tamped 😢down, or the pipe isn't being drawn often enough.

Excellent review! Thank you ! I have a tin of this. I will have to dig it out. I was a fan of McClelland"s Bombay Court and was trying to find a replacement. I do not know if my tastebuds have changed but, as of recent, blends that have what is termed as Turkish tobacco in them are hit or miss for me. One day I really can get enthused about the blendand then on another day , II can get s headache. This has never been true with blends that are identified as having Orientals. So when descriptions or re ieed note a blend having Orientals/Turkish I get hesitant to make a purchase. Happy puffing!!!!

Agree with you how good Early Morning Pipe pairs with my morning coffee. Went to very first pipeshow yesterday in Albany,NY. Had a blast, everyone was so friendly. Met many new friends. Found a tin of Prespritan, noticed similar tobaccos...had to pick it up. Looking forward to trying it, thanks for heads up comparison. Also picked up Sutliff Flannel Coffee tin. Tried it last night, try this one it's really spot on. Even my young lady fell for its aroma. Tastes like a coffee sweetend with a little Caramel. Know you won't be disappointed with this blend. I myself started with pipe smoking very recently, I was never a smoker neither consider myself to be one, given that I smoke my pipe companion so seldom to relax and help me out of depression. I still struggle with fears that this hobby can lead me to, but I think that everything with moderation wouldn’t do any harm.

Thanks for this content! I actually have been discovering pipe tobacco’s in a completely different way and I realize it’s different but it’s what has me so curious about the real tradition and in my case it’s been through naturally extracted tobacco liquids, so essentially like a tea from the actual blends which is then vaped, but while there isn’t the combustion element I really love the cavendish blends, also Tuscan cigar is really tasty ❤ but the Latakia is hit or miss forme, one of them reminded me of beef jerky almost 😂

A spot on review, at least I guess our taste is similar when it comes to these 2 blends. I love 'em both and found that when BS gets some age behind it (not much) the tin note becomes almost chocolatey..chocolate... really good stuff. Great video, thanks for sharing.

Hi, nice review! I had so many of the same thoughts on this tobacco, and hardly had the words to describe it. That being said, I also had some of the same thoughts. I wasnt sure if my brick was overly dry, but you explained that it was the norm and Im happy with that. I do really like it for certain and had also wondered what some hydration would do to my experience with it. I will hydrate a bit of it also just to see what the effect will be. A very different earthy tobacco. It was gifted to me by my son as part of my Christmas gift and was sent to me through an order at Smoking Pipes. Thank you for the excellent review! G.L. Pease, Caravan is maybe my favorite of the genre. It reminds me of Durbar, but better in my opinion

I used to blend Black Cavendish with Sir Walter Raleigh Aromatic, I also blended Sir Walter Raleigh aromatic with Paladins Black Cherry I always had compliments on the aromas especially from women my wife was extremely partial to the later. The flavors worked well together also. Ps I blended 50/50

I have a question. Is there a 10% golden virginia, 30% burley and 60% dark cavandish mix out there? or 20/20/60, or 20/30/50?
