I have a cat and dog. I love my cat because she is lovable and small. She can be all up in my face and loves to sleep on me but then I also love my dog. He sleeps with me at my feet and she sleeps on my back.

The KJV is the only Bible

Interesting that no one in the comments seems overly concerned about sola scriptura - which is one of my objections to Catholicism.

Just came across this fine video. I have a special warm place in my heart reserved for the NIV because it was the first Bible translation in which I really tore apart the scriptures and dived deep. I don't pay much credence in the gender issue - I think it is rather silly. When I read the KJV, I always knew I, a woman, was included when the text just referenced 'man' or 'men.' I knew that as a kid, for Pete's sake. But perhaps nowadays, it is more important to some, so it's okay with me, a non-issue. I have several ESV Bibles, and I do like that translation, but can't say I like it that much better than the NIV. Along the line of the ESV - and more to my liking - is the NASB translation. So far, I think it is the best translation on the scene - but that is just personal preference on my part. I enjoy the NLT a lot - and often use it along with my other translations because it is a joy to read and easy to understand. I am so thankful we have so many translations available to us! I love reading them all - and each offers me a unique, interesting perspective.

This came up on my feed. I am an abuse survivor. In my darkest time God sent me 7 kittens and their mom. They lived at the neighbors but the mom kept bringing them across the street to my house. The neighbor would come get them and within hours ahe would bring them back. Yhe neighbor told me to keep them since she wants yo be at my house. That was 13 years ago, I have Marie the mom and all 7 of the babies. They were sent by God❤

I’ve been following Jesus for a year and half and I have wayyyy to many bibles 😊 I do have one study Bible tho and use it everyday. The others I grab and go for church or just when leaving the house in general. I feel naked sotospeak without one near. Yeah I have apps on my phone, just not the same.

You are the second person I have seen recommend this Bible. Also, I bought the same “large” tote. It was much smaller than I expected also. I use it on the table next to my chair to hold my commentary and other reference books. I have the Mr. Pen highlighters and you are correct that they are the GOAT. I have the cultural background study bible and I also have a journaling bible but NIV translation. I have so many study materials at my desk, and they are such great resources when doing in-depth bible study. I graduated seminary in 2017 (at 50 years old) with my ThD. One of my favorite classes was Koine Greek. Knowing Greek helped bring a clearer understanding to the NT. The toughest class to me was Hebrew. I just can't get it. Greek was easier. I also like theology classes. Those classes make you think. If you have good professors, they make it interesting.

I love both cats 🐈 and 🐕 dogs, but I 😂think I prefer dogs for the most part.
