Skiers Edge
Registrace 15. 02. 2011
The Skier's Edge Was designed as a non-impact lateral conditioning machine. After years of playing football and numerous knees surgeries, doctors told the creator and inventor of the Skier's Edge he should no longer run to stay in shape. He looked for a way to safely strengthen his knees, get a great aerobic workout, and be in top condition to ski each season free of pain. After searching in vain for the right equipment and exercises, he developed the Skier's Edge. Upon showing the unit to doctors and physical therapists, he was encouraged to introduce it to the public. Initially supplying only the U.S. Ski Team, the Skier's Edge Company has since become the exclusive official supplier to the world's best ski teams.

Where is the snowboarding attachment?
It seems the knees/feet stay level with each other…not the case in actual skiing. This would feel terrible to not have a leading foot.
About 30 years ago, after we had had our Skiers Edge for about 5 years, the rubber strap snapped while our son was training. Nearly a nasty accident. He was very strong fit chap, and the entire family had been giving the SE a real pounding. Along with the replacement bands, I ordered a Balance Bar, along with the electronic turn counter. Now, at age 78, I find the BB and turn counter essential with my training. I do 2000 turns per session, with a one minute rest every 500 turns. I have to watch my heart rate, as it can get up to 148, whereas I try to max out at 130. The training effect is profound, with a significant improvement logged with each section. I must get round to changing bands in the near future. I get a real buzz when training.
I am 78, and in training for skiing in Japan next Jan 2024. Our family bought our skiers edge about 35 years ago. Myself, two daughters, son and wife have all been enthusiastic users. About 30 years ago, our son aged 25, was training, and the strap broke, flinging him onto the floor. Fortunately no real injuries. We replaced the rubber band, with some difficulty. Being in Australia we expected some supply issues, but all went well. I also obtained the stand, so from now on we gripped the bar, so if the rubber strap snapped, we safely held onto the horizontal bar. Much safer. I also obtained the electronic turn counter, which I find very useful. Not sure if it is still available. I am now up to 2000 turns per session, about 28 minutes. Although at this level of training, my Polar watch warns of possible overtraining. So I will dial back to 1500 turns per session for a few months. 2000 turns is a PB, a goal set for recovery from chest and leg clots following a AZ COVID vaccination. Now completely recovered. I could not go skiing at my age without a thorough training program, so Skiers Edge enables bit physical training, plus improving my style and form.
She desperately needs some other training. Obvious this isn't working. Huuuuuuge butt!
I bought one over 10 years ago. I was tired of paying for expensive lessons and never getiing out if that stupid wedge. Within 10 minutes on the machine I understood that parallel skiing is not a lean on the outside edge but a full body weight transfer to the inside edge. I haven't skied in a decade due to a series of unfortunate events but I am using the machine now and hitting the slopes soon. ⛷ 🏔
Gee...let me pay the price of a car for some contraption to slide back and forth on for a few minutes.
The thing is way too expensive for what you get. Build one yourself.
Is there warranty? Whats the site to buy?
Does this really work? Or just increase your stamina?
It increases the size of your penis.
It just decreases your bank account balance.
3,400 dollars later
No kidding!!!
this equipment i swear is most underrated cardio equipment benefits for everyone not just nhl, sucks no local gyms have them
Now I'm retired and am a free agent, all-being-well I'm be returning to skiing next season as a mature beginner - skied 3 times before [green runs] on long week-ends holidays with the Warrington Ski Club in Scotland, but the last time was 35 years ago -, and depending on how I do, finances depending, I'll seriously consider buying a 'Skiers Edge' to use leading up to my second season in 2025.
Holy shit never seen crap like that in my entire life
I noticed the plates are awful close together maybe he skis moguls a lot

How does it affect the knees? I have a problem with meniscus and I was wondering if I can use this machine. Thanks!
Jakub, thanks for the question. Our machine is great for strengthening your joints laterally with little to no impact. It is often used for rehab after joint injuries and is recommended by the Journal of Physical Therapy. Give us a call with any more questions at 801-975-8100
These are well designed but only affordable for professional athletes. I have an older model and they will not sell me a new band without an expensive upgrade. Too bad, there is nothing wrong with my machine but it will end up in the dump.
Hi Curtis, while we appreciate your feedback, we just wanted you to know that we no longer require S4 owners to upgrade to buy replacement bands. We still highly recommend the T5 Upgrade Kit to increase the longevity of your machine but give us a call and we should be able to set you up with new Powerbands so you can use your machine again. 800-225-9669
I wish this wasn’t so expensive
Are there special bands or something that would increase the weight limit to 350 or 400. What would the impact be of using the machine if you are over the weight limit?
Be aware Skiers Edge no longer sells power bands for older models. See web comments about their customer service tactics and forced obsolescence. The new machines are ridiculously expensive and long term dedicated customers are getting squeezed out of support and parts availability. It’s one thing to discontinue some parts, but wear and tear items should still be available. Poor form Skiers Edge, poor form.
We are sorry you feel that way. We will sell bands for S4 owners and newer. We can't support machines older than that because our band formulation has changed through the years. Give us a call at 800-225-9669 and we will see what we can do to help you out.
Excellent Congratulations
Thank you!
Please put your pricing on your webpage. It's really annoying to have to fill out a profile online to see pricing.
And the RPM platform is ....? Thanks for leaving us hanging.
You can find a separate video just about the RPM platform here: czcams.com/video/NDlultRNeDM/video.html
Good grief Charlie Brown!! What’s the point of this video? You’d think it be to describe the differences. What is the difference between these 2 units other than the name?
This video was created to introduce the T7 and QS7 machines to the world. For details and differences between the two visit: www.skiersedge.com/products or call us at 800-225-9669
What’s the weight limit and average length of bands?
Sorry for the delayed response. It's 300 lbs. Let us know if you have any other questions.
The weight limit is 5,000 lbs and the length of the bands is 100 feet.
There is no such thing as aircraft aluminum. There is just aluminum :)
Hi, quick question about setup. Once platform is tightened appropriately with foot beds, Regeneron tension and Costner supports are added, is it good to go? I ordered the ‘Natural Slope’ as well, but going to start off with all master and don’t want to take any unnecessary chances. Thank you
