    Would it theoretically be possible to bump up the polygon count on models in the game? Or does the engine have a certain limit?

      I think it would be possible yes, I suppose the limit with polygons is our GPUs and disks to load all these models... Though I think Hulk Hogan (the author of HDRP) showcased a way to do it on the shader level recently. Or at least a way to make things look smoother without necessarily increasing the polygon count. It's worth investigating!

      @@thibaultaelto4673 Well since almost 10 years past and our GPUs are much stronger, I think it would be worth a shot. Imagine modding the witcher 3 close to the quality of Unreal Engine 5 and then adding community worlds and quests 😍

      You're welcome, glad to have helped! These icons can be toggled in the Debug menu of the editor (CTRL+ALT+F to open it), in there you'll have to enable: - VisualDebug (or DebugVisual i'm not sure) - Sprites

      Yes it's a huge time saver, I can't imagine going back to drawing the mountains by hand. I've updated the video description to include a link to the resporitory I took the stamps from. Otherwise it seems we can generate our own stamps from tools like World Creator

      Thanks ! It depends, I'd like to give the steam workshop a chance but I guess nothing stops me from posting on both platforms so everyone is happy ! Also these maps will be used as hunting grounds for a mod I'm creating. Visiting them without it wouldn't make much sense. So I'll be sharing these builds and the mod that comes with it, that's what I'm trying to say 😁

      @@thibaultaelto4673 I managed to solve it by doing one of the purple merges , the ones theoretically you aren't supposed to do. That being said I have run into another peculiar issue. There is a non agressive Bilge Hag that has spawned in Novigrad close to one of the gates , close to where the merchant for the doppler contract is more specifically and idk how to get rid of it, its floating a few inches from the ground and just staying there like an ornament with sound😂. Also , this is OG W3 I am talking about , just to be clear.

    Hey, I've noticed that shadows present on newly created worlds (based on the official CDPR tutorial) have this weird pitch black lighting, contrary to for example: Novigrad with fully loaded layers. I've managed to track the layer that is supposedly responsible for creating this natural, easy to look at shadow effect (env_global_pbr/env_nml/env_probe) but as i expected simply copying it in to my own created world renders it useless. And than there is your *chef's kiss* world, with shadows looking as inteded, care to share how :) or is the explenation to complicated to answer under a CZcams comment.

      @@Angiooletto It's usually not needed but the way I made RER, that is being split in multiple mods to offer better compatibility on large modlists, makes it necessary yes. I thought it was a small price to pay for almost merge free installs even when you have 100+ mods :)

    Reallly wish i could get back into the Redkit, i was enjoying it so much during the Playtest and then after the Official release it no longer works for me. I can't load existing worldspaces that i've build as it crashes and it crashes everytime i try to make a new leve/world space. Really hoping CDPR fixes the bug.

    Watching this video could make somebody think that level design is easy to do but to be honest it is damn hard work. I do not work in game development industry, I am not a modder and designer but I created several custom maps (locations) for fan made project. However only 2D maps (isometric, ready to use assets) and it was time consuming (at least for me) but still ihmo far easier than creating 3D maps. I can guess the RedKit is complex software and in addition to it you have to know where to find assets you gonna need in your location.

      It is indeed very time consuming, but it gets better over time as we learn what assets there are and where to find them. I think in my case what's pushing me to continue is my love for photography, so making levels is a way for me to create my own subjects for my pictures which is fun 🤓 Do you think you will try level building in redkit ? The little demo mod CDPR shared with REDkit showed that we don't need fancy decors like i'm making to have fun. The level was clearly made with haste and it still feels great to explore a new place!

I've spent some hours now just floating through the vanilla levels and looking at how they are built together from assets and terrain. Its crazy how those four skellige rocks carry the whole game lol.

Novigrad is also a good example of how they were able to make a whole town out of tiny little meshes, some the houses are literally made of singular wooden planks, roads are made using bridge walls, this is crazy but it's also been an excellent source of inspiration for me.

      I'm sure there is a quest function to do that, or you could write one by using the "theGame.ScheduleWorldChangeToPosition" function. That's how i'm planning to teleport the player to my world.

      Hello! Select the brush with the grass that you want to remove, and press SHIFT while clicking. You can also use CTRL+Click to create a temporary brush with the vegetation in near your cursor if you need

      You should indeed that would be so cool ! Especially since you seem to have experience in that domain. And yeah... if you notice a lot of stuff changes in my world between the videos for the same reason! And also the fact it's not simple to have a build session look interesting in a video, staying focused on a single section of the world is HAARD for a rookie like me.

    I notice that with this on, if geralt jumps while sprinting the camera violently resets when he lands, is there a fix for this?

      Looking into it a bit more, I notice that the violent reset is from the FOV. When geralt jumps the fov slightly changes, but when he lands it resets back to normal. is this a change of the mod?

      Loc Muinne was already done in Witcher 2. Fun fact about it is that the location only got a single mention in the books (during the time at Aretuza where Vilgefortz was explaining the history of magic to Geralt) and no description so CDPR made up everything about the city. Also Aretuza is basically Gors Velen.

      @@Tomas-yg1xz Fats Velen is a huge and very old port city surrounded by walls and full of towers with shiny roof pointed. The wall around Gors Velen was a much more recent construction than the city itself, still erected by elves. On its banks is the famous Thanedd Island, where the aspiring witch study, Aretusa which is a fortress. They are still different things But it would be like map of Velen and Oxenfurt and about the part created by CD The Origin of Witchers with Alzur It is the creation of CD that did much better that Netflix Like the Moiras The witcher 1 2 3 It's all after the books without many bases But I would like to go back with the triss in Loc Muinne After the end of the game and DLC blood and wine and go to Kovir e Povis too
