Look for local adoption attorneys. You specifically want to find out the laws concerning “adult adoption” in your state. The attorney will draft the papers, but your step dad will have to sign them. Since you’re an adult, the fees will likely be much cheaper. Good luck!

My stepdad steped up to me and my 4 brother when he didn't have to I'm 13 me , my brothers, and my mom are talking through on doing this the hard part is getting the bag of shit(my bio "dad") to drop child support easily but ya know we would win in court so I guess it fine either way

Im on the process. My dad has been there since I was a toddler. always made me feel like I was his son, even telling everyone I am his best sperm, lmao. I love him dearly, and we have so much in common and love for each other after few difficult years me being hurt, knowing he wasn’t my father. He stood by me and still is with my mother happily married after 36 years together, I have a younger brother and younger sister and we love each other so much, he’s always been and is my hero. I look up to him so much.
U can clearly tell the love this man has for his son, genuinely weeping the way he did.. 💜💜
