What is wall putty or is the plater of Paris has more longevity?
Interesting but inconsistent comparison. First, concrete is always 'soupy' when poured, so both recipes should be same consistency (not same measurements as concrete is dense.) This example of a too-dry concrete mix will always Crack. Second, application techniques are different! PoP is with bare hand, concrete mix with palette knife. Sure it us unwise to expose skin to concrete mix, both could have been spread with a gloved hand.
How long does this paste stay workable? Wondering how long it takes to dry when used in an art piece, as well as whether leftover paste could be saved for future use. Thanks for the recipe!
Not so long. It quickly becomes dry so leftover paste can’t be used anymore.
what kind of Cement was used in the second DIY ? any link available ?
Any white cement would do. Try this amzn.eu/d/04gcW8Zq. But if it is not available in your area, you can check from Amazon in your country.
How do I avoid the waves from cracking?
It will not Crack because it is a paint 😅

No. But sometimes I use gesso for my texture paste

Can I mix gesso with real sand instead of this plaster of Paris?
Yes you can
what do you do to protect the painting from cracking, discoloring and humidity? Can it be a can of gloss clear spray?
Hi. With the mixture I used, the painting has not obtained any cracks so far. I store my paintings in cool and dry place. But you can use varnish on the painting to better protect them from humidity.
Beautiful work! Is the modeling easy to broken during delivery? Is it necessary coating on the surface after done? What kind of material is good for coating?
Yes you have to be really careful. For me I don’t coat them as I only store them at home.
