1:53 I might be misunderstanding, but I think that the master tool method is really dumb on Centroids part. It may be friendly to beginners but generally what you should do is tram your spindle to the table or a height setter, again equipment that a beginner might not have, and then you set your tools based off of that. This method requires you to know what your longest tool is which is constantly changing especially for a beginner. Also I don't see the point when you might as well get the same result as your maximum tool size by just jogging your z-axis all the way up and saying that your master tool is in the spindle. I do understand why it would be good for hobbyists though with what you said about the home switches.

11:00 Why do you pulse the negative side? Most videos (and the guide from stepperonline) pulse positive side.13:50 ipm = inch per minute or is it 14:15 rpm? If it is the same in your case maybe you should describe why.

What size of material will either handle. Grizzly says its a 3" chuck. Is that the size if the chuck itself or will it handle 3" tubing?

Can encoder be fixed after over volatage ,driver flash 3ces after motor move and display red light. Test with another driver and it works but 2 driver affected can this be fixed .

Prior to connecting the driver to the computer and configuring it, were you able to move the motor at all? I get a red LED fault saying lost step after a small angle move of the shaft. sending pulses from an arduino. Gonna try to connect it to a uart cable like you did..

Imagine if you will, a world where you can make a CUSTOM LIFT SPACER of SIX INCHES to give the Precision Matthews adjustability in fitting a tall part - being that it is bolted as it is, if you had a hoist, setup and rest would not take too long. The PM has better fit and finish, which most times equals repeatability in quality.

Hey Franco, will this work with the HBS860H servo drive as well? And can I send Serial Commands to change the rotation of my servo motor?

I know it's been a while since you posted this video. I am currently driving my motor with the HBS860H servo drive using the Dir, ENA, Pul using an ESP32. However I could easily reduce the flash memory if I could send a serial "rotation" command directly into the RS232. Do you know if this is possible using a microcontroller RS232 Serial connection directly? Thank you in advance.
