The Alexa functionality seems to be broken for me as of November 2022. Has been working fine for the past 2 years. Everything is up to date with both Amazon units and Thermostat (firmware, etc). The Venstar app still works fine and the Alexa app shows the correct temp setting. But, when I try to change the temp either verbally or with the he Alexa app it’s saying the Venstar is “unresponsive”. Any tips on getting this working again?

Is this one I have to pay for the service or free?

I hate this thermostat so much. I have been living in my new place for almost a year and I still struggle with the setting. My 4 year old just messed up with the whole temperature in the house and I have no idea how to fix it. Right now it’s so hot at home because he set the heating at 99F. I can’t override it. Next time make something more user friendly. I would definitely not buy or recommend this to anyone.

I have 4 HVAC forced air zones for heat and cooling and the furnace is gas. Each white rogers thermostat has 5 wires (W, RH, Y, G, RC) but no C Wire. Do I need this device for each air handler or is it installed elsewhere? I have new Honeywell RTH9585WF Wi-Fi thermostats to install.

What if you have a 5 wire thermostat and no c-wire and 4 zones? Do you need one of these for every zone?

This would be great in theory, but does absolutely no good for users who's HVAC control panel does NOT have a place for a common wire. Even if I tried using this adapter or had a proper 5 wire run, none of it does any good without the board itself having a dedicated common wire... I guess I'll have to find another solution 😒

This did not work for me at all. Everything works except the AC and Fan. Whenever I turn ON the Fan, the AC would kick in. I cannot turn ON the Fan without turning ON the AC. Horrible!

Installed properly on nest thermostat and now when selecting fan only, the AC compressor comes on when fan selected. Any thoughts how to fix this so we can just have fan only run? Thanks.
