Arial Spraying some chemical to combat the "Spongy moth" that has Apparently invaded BC's trees. Here they are spraying, and in Vancouver, like, in Stanly Park, they are cutting all the trees down (Like, all of em!!)

Driving past Lytton and the Kumsheen river rafting resort a year after the fire. evidence of the Canada Day fire that wiped out the entire town in under an hour. Sad. Watch a helicopter take off in the canyon. Video is from 2022 or 2023 (can't remember)

Doesnt matter that I grew up on the island and have seen these trees 1000x, every time I go back and spend time with them, I am in awe just as much as the first time I saw them. I feel so lucky I got to grow up in a place with such beautiful things to see. I sure hope they protect more forests like this because it's all we have left.

Awe, wonderful! Thanks! Unfortunately, Victoria is growing and they're cutting down just about everything..Garry Oaks (which I THOUGHT were protected), arbutus trees... quite sad actually... Our quiet little island is quickly becoming another Vancouver
@@IslandTides Oh no!!!! We have already killed so many trees and everyone is still using so much paper. 😥 We are losing nature slowly.... I hope they don't do that any further.

@@IslandTides Huh. For some reason I replied to this and my comment isn't here anymore... Reaction channels are pretty simple. You record yourself basically reviewing videos that are suggested by viewers (Watch and commentate) There's tons on youtube. You can look it up and you'll probably see the most common format.

When you add lye to water, then add that to oil, it goes through a chemical reaction and changes the oil or grease into soap. In certain environments, archeologists have found bodies in bogs from hundreds of years ago, and the fat on the bodies had actually turned the humans into soap. You can make lye by running water through burned wood ashes or having burned wood ashes in water sitting.

Really scary if a portcullis gate were to drop down on you while you were trying to get through! It would smash you, and if the spikes missed you (which they wouldn't, as they were close together), it would pin you to your last breath. You wouldn't have a chance.

It's so beautiful there. What are the huts used for? Why are they famous? The only thing I think I'd miss there is mountains and trees. If we could put the mountains of BC and the trees of Vancouver Island in England with the castles and old stuff architecture and historical landmarks, you'd have truly a perfect place. Lol❤
This is how you drive in traffic! Although the car illegally passing on the single lane road should have gone slower. Non turn signal use makes me way angrier than someone charging a yellow light
I can't even make it to the end of the video. That super loud raceway sound clip repetitively going on and on made this video aggravating to watch. From what I did see, it looks like normal city traffic to me. If you can't handle driving in city traffic, there are other options like the bus or taxi/uber/lyft. Perhaps, if you prefer going slow, a bicycle might be your speed.

you cannot "run amber lights" read the MVA and driver education books. Amber means "proceed with caution"
Nice try. I tech driver education. You can get pulled over and fined as running a red light on a stale amber in BC. Move along.
@@IslandTides unless the stop cannot be done safely. i hope you're training people properly and not putting people on the road without fully explaining things properly. There's a reason why there is a Red Yellow and Green light. And not just green and red.
A police officer can ticket you for running a red light even if the light was yellow, if it was a STALE yellow. Amber/Yellow means PREPARE TO STOP.

Honestly, none of the driving here seemed particularly egregious. Sure, they weren’t perfect, but I don’t think anyone here was in serious danger of causing an accident, provided people driving how they’re supposed to are paying attention to their surroundings as well.
My taught as well.
The only dangerous thing I saw was the guy illegally passing the car turning left as that was technically a one way street. I do this maneuver all the time, however you have to go slower incase a hidden car is legally turning left in front of you.

If every car was rough & loud and dangerous feeling then a lot more people would be more focused and safe drivers The more cars get comfy and quiet and effortless to drive the more people crash, take safety for granted and become too complacent. Self driving cars will be the only option some day in future.
