for whatever reason, I was able to get a moose or even elks to spawn at Emerald Ranch, near the giant water pond when using herbivore bait. very strange. I was trying to finish the hunter challenge when I came across this trick.

Did you use the buck antler trinket when hunting it coz i always get a headshot but its 2 stars

Here is my tip how to get it. 1. Walk into the woods from South 2. Keep a safe eye on the mini map 3. As soon as a red spot appears 4. Run right to the river 5. The panther shouldn't catch you 6. In the water walk in hip-deep 7. Look at the shore 8. There is your panther 9. The panther won't follow you 10. You can easily shoot it + Works in every weather condition + It's a great way to study it from a close distance!

After watch this video, I want to try get moose at Barrow Lagoon, but to my surprise, when I arrive Wallace station, ride through the path on top of Cattail Pond, I found 3 stars Western Bull Moose! Thank you!

On PC, you don't need anything, maybe throw down a fresh deer carcass, but you can just ride around the woods and pop a couple in deadeye. One for the satchel, one for the saddle!

One panther spawned then I messed up the shot and it was poor quality. But then another one won't spawn :/ I've been saving and reloading a bunch. I don't want to leave the area.

you mentioned the Buck Antler Trinket at the end, how exactly does it function in your experience? for me I've tried at least 20 animals and it hasn't seemed to make any difference, unless its a super low chance it doesn't seem to work in the way i assumed. looking it up online people say they've tested it but every single person seems to have got different results for what it actually does. most confusing item in the game tbh

This is not true they are skittish as hell and to even get good speed you need the nacho saddle

So ive heard of this spot before but always had problems getting the panther to spawn because other vids say to wander around the woods were it is supposed to spawn. Tried your method, and as soon as i came to the rock i noticed a few deer hightailing it toward me and what do ya know! A panther was chasing them. Too bad that when i shot it as it turned toward me, i got the head shot but it flopped down the hill and was only one star.

One thing that helped me is I laid predator bait and a wild boar ate it so I killed it and it attracted a Panther and it was eating the boar so it was a perfect headshot

I went up to lake barrow and saved and made it morning twice then kinda gave up on the area and went down to cat tail pond (Ive seen a three star female on that path but I needed a male) only to return to lake barrow run out on the lake and turn around to go back to cat tail pond and boom bull moose scared me

Thank you so much for this! I spent forever trying at Braithwaite location with no luck. Tried the northern location at 7:26 next to the word "Lagras" and had one spawn straight away with potent predator bait! Been rinsing and repeating this area now with no issues, lifesaver 😊 I guess that each person's game it has specific places that it'll spawn or just some areas will glitch for some reason

Thanks, this method helped me to study and track the panther, I'm glad I saved the game a bit before trying this, cuz the first time I got a 2 start, I reloaded the game and got a 1 start and by the third try I got a 3 starts, perfect headshot with the bow and now I got my panther saddle 😊❤

idk what I'm doing wrong but I just can't get this to work. I ran around the area and there's no camps or moonshiners. I slept for days and did a bunch of other stuff to maybe reset it but i just can't get one to appear here :/
