Great reaction! I saw this movie when it was released in 1978. I was 13, and the movie traumatized me even more than the first one. Horror movies were less popular back then than they are now. This film was released in June 1978, whereas Holloween was released in October 1978. It wasn't until Friday the 13th (1980) that studios started using inventive gore-killing and high body counts. In addition, CGI and AI effects did not exist at the time. Everything was done by hand, including makeup and effects.

I've always liked the idea of the film ending with chucky dieing in the garbage truck. Roll credits, Childs play 3 1 kill 30 mins long lol.
