    Cartridge type/setup recommendation to add something highly effective against iron? Albeit very quality spec'd filters in yours, looks like I would need to sub one (or add - 4 cartridge setup?) for my high iron issue. Remote monitoring would be nice, but A major goal for myself is to have all my coach controls for the lights, stereo, blinds, hot water heater, slides etc onto some kind of panel to condense the need for walking all over the coach and i would love to have multiple control panels that are able to control the same functions at different places in the coach.

    You said "PH" and then tested "Hardness". Those are two different tests unless you have a dual test strip. Softener aren't really intended to change Acid/ Base(PH) readings, although they might tend to show a slight coincidental change due to sodium ion exchange. Sodium bicarbonate injector ( baking soda) can change PH, but that's another device and process that's done in municipal water treatment systems. ...As I write this, my wife and I are looking at ordering a 24 Newell coach. As such, i point out that for expert advice on towing, and getting the job done correctly the "first" time, may i point out NIRVC. I say this, because my wife and I plan on using their product "Retro Band" on our coach. If, you are not familiar with it, I strongly suggest you look into it. Now, as to correctly doing a TOAD. These services are offered by them as well. 1000's done, not many complaints. Just a little info. tossing out there. ScottishxPride, Tx.

      Thanks for the watch and comments. I am fully aware of NIRVC, as well as their RETTROBAND product and also the TYRONs. I’m not going to enter that discussion as it is out of the scope of this topic. It’s also not a product of safety I wish to get into due to many questions and concerns which I will leave to the individual owner. As to installation, that’s not the issue of towing; On-going inspection and maintenance is! You’ll see my other video discussing this. I’ve discussed almost a dozen failures in the past year or so and they have ALL been the result of baseplate failure from fatigue and/or lack of maintenance.

    Question. As my wife and I are looking at the 24/25 model (custom order), do you have pads that you've added to your jacks as I have seen on other videos? Also, if, I can trouble you. How does Newell do when taking on hills/mountains? ScottishxPride, Tx.

      Hello, that's exciting news! Newells don't have jacks, they're always "on the bags" and, hence, use the VALID Leveling system. The new models have a slightly different interface, but this video gives you a good idea of how the Valid system works: czcams.com/video/vKeyN5emRG8/video.html Our Newell passes any RV and truck (unloaded) out there on the grades, so I'd say that's a pretty good indication. The inarguable opinion from anyone is that the Newell, with the Cummins 605HP X15 is the king of the hills...at least in terms of the custom 45' buses. The one strong opponent would be a King-Aire, which is quite a bit lighter and would give a Newell a good run for the money up a hill. All this said, every 6%+ hill can be a struggle if you're in a hurry, no matter what. But our Newell, with the PDI Stage 2 upgrades, handles it better than the rest. Here is a real quick "first-look" I did after the upgrades: czcams.com/video/E9V98EZSn-c/video.htmlsi=v6FABpFMUY0tZDaj Thank you for watching and commenting!

    I'm looking to pair to of the exact same generators to a different named parallel kit... its it possible? safe? will the different parallel kit work with the different named generators? AGAIN the generators ARE the exact same just the parallel kit is different... any information would be greatly appreciated THANKS!!🍻🍻🍻🍻

      Thanks for watching and for your question. However, the topic is about using 2 30 amp outlets on a shoreline post for your RV to plug into. It has nothing to do with a generator(s) and, therefore, I don’t feel comfortable making any suggestions or assumptions. Thanks again.

    If you turn off the spigot then move your selector from city water to tank fill it will relieve the pressure in the hose.

    • @RVSquaredSteve
      @RVSquaredSteve Před 6 měsíci

      Thank you for watching and commenting. However, Newell's ONLY run on pressurized water system from tank water, so there's no option for "city water" as you suggest. The auto-tank fill is a switch, which controls the tank fill ON/OFF only. Plus, not only is there an on-board regulator, but also a check-valve so, your suggestion won't work to dump pressure. Normally, the best we can do is try to bleed some pressure at the WYE on the spigot; but, again, with checkvalves in that outboard regulator...it really doesn't do much good.

    Steve, this was a really interesting video. I knew that Newell provides redundant air compressors and often wondered why. I suppose having hundreds of fittings means leaks that make that redundancy a requirement.

    • @RVSquaredSteve
      @RVSquaredSteve Před 6 měsíci

      Thanks Duncan. Actually, the reason for twin compressors is for redundancy of failure. Since Newells rely on air pressure for the BODE entry door and seals, having a functioning compressor is critical. Should one seize or have a major issue, a manual changeover switch keeps you going. Newell builds redundancy on most critical functions. Thank you for watching and commenting!

    • @duncanjames914
      @duncanjames914 Před 6 měsíci

      My pleasure. I was thinking that the redundancy of compressors was due to failure resulting from more runtime than a system that had fewer leaks. Either way, I love redundant systems! 🙂 @@RVSquaredSteve
