Jesus fuck dude how did I miss this for so long. Best effort I’ve heard for a future bass remix of this song so far. I’m sure in this time you’ve improved a lot in the years since you dropped this but just a few notes: 1. Chord progresion. Fucking beautiful. Never would’ve expected a IVm - I to work so well in future bass. Plus that sorta mixolydian b6 vibe you went for in a couple sections was just magic. There were a couple awkward spots and early resolutions but overall fantastic. 2. I found the rhythm section a bit lacking in the pre-chorus/buildup section (“you are the piece of me etc”) Future bass, like a lot of genres of EDM, puts a lot of emphasis on mids and highs as far as drums are concerned in those sections. It’s also lacking some complexity-maybe throw a few prefab loops over it and bring the highs up a bit on em. Plus some high pass filter on the kick and let the snare fade a bit into the background until the drop.

I wonder if simply adding shelf filters on the master bus to attenuate the high end and low end similar to Auratones would help you mix better?

you can also mix on your monitor but put an eq and cut off frequency bellow 90 and above 17k, that helps
