Hello. I do not remember seeing an electrical outlet next to the bed.

We did not have a meal plan. We used Cruisetour credit. The meal prices at the Mt. Mckinley and Denali Wilderness lodges did not seem to be inflated during our stay.

We did not notice smoke in the Taste and O'Sheehan's restaurants. We mainly noticed it within the casino, at the walking track on deck 7, and near the smoking area on deck 16.

@@jjtraveladventures1435I hope I can't smell it on deck 17....I have a trip plan in November and am staying in the Haven. I'm not allergic to smoke but I will not be happy smelling second hand smoke for the price I'm paying for the room and I will make it known that I won't be happy

On our most recent Southern Caribbean cruise out of San Juan, we only incurred sales tax on drinks in and around the San Juan port. Once we entered international water, we were not charged a drink tax. It all depends on the state or country where the cruise ports are located. Taxes are charged on drinks in or around many cruise ports in the US and US territories. Other countries may have a similar requirement (ie. Spain).

@jjtraveladventures1435 not that an extra 100-200 is a huge deal, just Norweigans Nickle and diming is very irritating.. another user on here mentioned at night it seems everything is closed and they want everyone to go to bed.. I surely hope this isn't the case even though it even seemed to be 6 years ago... well anyways thanks for taking the time to respond, good video!

@@thewireman134 well if it's a TAX NCL isn't the one nickel and diming you at that point.. They would HAVE to collect that tax and pay it to the local gov't.. But for Caribbean cruises you probably normally wont have any extra except maybe port days, and then not all of them.. You can for sure ask before you order to see if they are having to collect tax or not..

There were two staircases at the back of the catamaran that ended at the water surface. One of the staircases had a ladder at the end that dropped into the water.

We went in early May.

We left the Hyatt House San Juan hotel around 10:15am and was at the pier around 10:30am. There is a crosswalk and traffic light to easily cross HWY 16 from the hotel. When we left the hotel, taxis were already lined up from the C. Lindbergh/C. Muelle intersection to the Pan American pier. On C. Muelle, there was enough space for us to walk beside the taxis (that were stuck in traffic) without any issues.

Hello, Wendy. Going on the land portion of your Cruisetour is probably a good idea. On the land portion, we spent a lot of time traveling by bus and train between the cruise terminal and the three lodges. In my opinion, sitting for hours on a bus or train can be tiring, and I was exhausted by the end of the land portion (which was the end of our Cruisetour). In my opinion, a person has many more opportunities on the cruise ship to just relax (in comparison to the land portion), so a person may feel more rested by the end of their Cruisetour if they cruise at the end. Hopefully, I’m making sense. I’ve never done the land portion first and cruise portion last, so these are just my opinions. I don't think a person can go wrong either way. Alaska is a beautiful state. I hope you enjoy your vacation.

In 2003 my wife and I took the land tour first and then the cruise on one of Royal Caribbeans ships. We thought that worked out well for us. One drawback ( we felt ) was on the land tour they tried to pack too much into it and we felt rushed. But even at that it was a very nice trip. We returnd to Alaska on our own in an RV In 2018 for an 8 week trip from Michigan. Round trip was 11,465 mile. We took our time and went places to see things they did not show us on the tour. Hello. Our Cruisetour vacation package included $50 “Cruisetour cash” vouchers (1 per person) that we used in Princess lodge restaurants and gift shops. We paid with credit card or cash when we used up our vouchers. We didn’t have any issues finding food in the Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge and the Denali Princess Wilderness lodge. We did have issues finding reasonably priced options at the Fairbanks Princess Riverside Lodge. The Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge had three restaurants, a coffee shop, and a gift shop (that had snacks). At the time of our trip, only two restaurants were open due to worker shortage. The Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge had four restaurants, a coffee shop (with decent breakfast options), and a gift shop (that had snacks). When we were there, three out of four of their restaurants were open. The Fairbanks Princess Riverside Lodge had one buffet style restaurant, a bar, and a coffee/gift shop. At the time of our stay, the bar did not serve food. The buffet cost around $40 per person for dinner, so we walked to a nearby restaurant (Pikes Landing bar/restaurant) instead. The food was good there and was reasonably priced. I hope this information helps. Have a great vacation!

In the morning, we walked through town to the Lower Reid Falls and the Gold Rush Cemetery and then back through the town again. In the afternoon, we took the helicopter tour to the Meade Glacier. It was a full day, but we had a great time. The helicopter tour was absolutely breathtaking. Our video actually doesn't do it justice.
