I've used the plow a few times, and overall I'm pleased with it. I plow over uneven terrain and it does pretty well. I wish it was a bit heavier for back blading. Im considering adding weights to the plow... any thoughts on this? Good or bad idea? Its my first sxs plow so Im new to this.
Hey, thanks for the heads up about using a tie-down strap while traveling with the plow! Never even considered the wear on the winch this would cause from the plow bouncing. I recently got a KFI plow installed and was about to drive the canam to town over a long gravel road when I saw this video.
Good call on keeping an extra strap handy to lift the blade with if the winch cable breaks. I hadn’t considered something like that, even as simple as that is. Thanks! God bless.
For what it's worth; the (only) type of boots that are actually capable of being truly 100% waterproof, are going to be the seamless rubber/neoprene variety. Most any brand, no matter how costly, that incorporates stitching and leather, will only repel water for a period of time, before the water slowly finds it's way in. Good Mink oil rubbed into the leather portions and stitching, and waterproofing spray on the woven areas, is about the best you can do, if you don't want to go with the full-on rubber variety. Hang in there brother.
The construction of the soles must have changed, possibly because the older ones could be quite slippery. I still wear mine every year when we burn the stubble and the soles are still fine and definitely not melted. After reading your comment, I suppose that I will need to get leather soles when I replace them. Take a look at the video that I made when my friend did not believe that they did not melt. czcams.com/video/O5N4w7LOT7c/video.html
The wear bar is 3/16" Grade 50 steel. It is powder coated which gives it the "plastic" finish. After the one side wears down over time, you are able to flip the wear bar over for a basically brand new wear bar. Hope this helps, Happy plowing!
I've been wearing Georgia boots for many years. I have tried many different styles. I am going to look for a different brand because I can't get a pair of them to last more than a few months before the soles fall apart and then the rest of the boot isn't far behind. I have always thought they were comfortable but I'm getting sick of them not lasting at all.
Yeah, no matter what the tag says, waterproof your boots yourself before taking them outside. I get you are angry, and you should send them back. Good solid review. But still when you get these dried out and if you are still not going to send them back, clean them with a horsehair brush( you want the dirt all off) using a quality waterproofing wax put the waterproofing on all of the seems. Secondly, get a blow dryer and melt the wax in. This works every time. Repeat this waterproofing every time you clean your boots.
I’ve use Georgia boots for years in heavy construction and smokestack industry. They are the most comfortable boot I’ve ever had. You might have got a bad pair.
Yeah my dad bought a pair of a different style for use on our farm, and he’s beat the shit out of them for years and they’re holding up really well. This dude probably got a shit pair.
I love georgia boot...for your dollar...they are the very best bang for buck.. ive NEVER had an issue with my feet getting wet in my georgia boots..EVER..and I'm a rail conductor and work in the rain very frequently...only time my feet ever got wet was when my pants were soaked and water was just flowing down my legs into the boot
Waterproof pretty much sure but it's still lace up boots what do you expect cowboy boots will always be what's pretty much waterproof don't trust any pair of lace ups being waterproof they have laces and a tongue of course water will leak through
They are out there. I had a pair of Rocky’s (same parent co as GB ironically), I could stand in water all day in those boots. Feet dry as a bone. Bought them in Nelsonville on the seconds side of the store. Paid $30 for them… Best boots I ever had.
Yeah me too, bought the the pull on “ waterproof “ boots and walked around all day at work with wet feet. Called and they gave me 50% off code for there online store only. So I guess I’m gonna get me a half off pair of “ waterproof “ boots, so good if they to take care of the customer. Pissed too!!
I work outside, so now when it's wet, I just wear my muck boots. I know those will for sure keep my feet dry. Not sure if that's an option for you. If they say water proof, that's what they should be. Thanks for the comment.
I dont know what boots yall bought but my feet have never been wet on my georgia boots....and I work in pouring rain as a conductor...most bang for your buck BY FAR is Georgia boots
I'm shopping for boots now, seen a pair of Rocky's at the mall near me $129.99, got online for a better deal seen Georgia Wellington Boots "waterproof" $97.00 on Amazon. Almost pulled the trigger too decided to do a CZcams search on Georgia boots:) I dunno man, I dunno:)
@shelbycollier9709 firm believer in you get what you pay for...but I already know Redwings are garbage compared to what they use to be...they cheapened up so your pretty much paying for the lifetime warranty...but that is most boots...I love my georgia boots though for $100-$150 bucks u can't beat them in comfort and durability
Nothing sucks worse than cold wet feet when you are working or just stomping around. Avoid Wolverine Deck Hands for the same reason. China boots and the quality shows.

KFI makes a roller to replace the fairlead. I put one on mine, works great and is a must for synthetic ropes

Try keen davenports
Did you cook the tomatoes first?
Hello, no we do not cook them first.
Have you used it with crab apples? I find it clogs up for me. The core pieces get jammed in the black plastic swiper that covers the metal sieve.
Hello, no, we have not used crab apples in it. Thanks for watching.

Water proofing only lasts for so long. During winter I condition & wax my boots every fortnight. During summer, each month.
@@shanebrowning8862 Rubber boots are waterproof, but it works both ways when you wear them in the hot weather, 😊

Yep. But I bought a pair of red wings with the extreme water proof tag. I paid $300 dollars and still they failed.
Hard to find well made stuff anymore.
You can literally use carolinas as waders if need be
You paid $300.00 for boots? Boy they saw you coming 😂😂😂

Thankyou for your comment, and thanks for the info. We will avoid the Wolverine.
