In 2001, Sum 41, consisting of singer Deryck Whibley, guitarist Dave "Brown Sound", bassist Jon "Cone" McCaslin, and Drummer Steve-O began breaking out of their Canadian suburb with their classic album All Killer No Filler consisting of multiple hit songs including "Fat Lip" and "In Too Deep". After a touring cycle, they followed it up with another album "Does This Look Infected?" which brought even more successful songs like "The Hell Song" and "Still Waiting". After finding success in the music industry, the band decided they wanted to do something bigger, and raise awareness to those in less fortunate situations.
