The sweet spot for these new iPhones is the 20w USB-c or the 18w USB-c (in the second had market) For a 30min quick charge the 20w,30w and 35w, are really good!. all of them close to 60%, The 5w and 12w chargers are not that great for the current age of phones, they consider SLOW. The 12w at 60% in 50min is not that bad, But i would still upgrade if need it. 18w Charged that apple had was a upgrade for the 5w USB-A and 12w USB-A for a couple years, The only Charger that apple doesn't sale many anymore is the 5w. Yes they still carry they 12w USB-A in 2024, The 18w was replaced by the 20w.

I agree with your sentiment, if someone is buying completely new. More likely than not the 15 Plus will be a better value considering the upgrades with the small price differential.

iPhone 11, it’s $200 dollars. That means if you want unlimited data you’ll literally only pay 45 a month for cellular and no phone bill because you own it. Straight talk uses Verizon towers. Unless you guys are rich then do whatever you want lol

As someone who never wastes money on buying the latest gen phones, and certainly doesn't waste money on dumb network contracts, a good used 14 is a great option. There are significant differences between the 13 and 14. The 14 has 6GB RAM, 13 has 4GB. The 14 selfie camera has PDAF, which makes for much better selfie photos and videos. The 13 selfie cam is fixed focus. The 14 main camera has a brighter lens and larger image sensor and produces better images. There are plenty of other improvements internally, with better data movement around the various parts of the main board and better AI processing. Buy a good used 14. It's the best value.

Personally, I would never buy an iPhone 15 pro max or 16 because spending 1,000+ dollars on an iPhone upgrade isn't worth it, my smartphone budget would always be under 600 dollars.
