Hi there, unfortunately I can't give much advice because I didn't suffer at all and didnt take any medication.... I was one of thr lucky ones! But from witnessing the others go through it, I reccomend starting your meidcation/patch BEFORE you hit the Drake. Drink PLENTY of water. It helps! Get fresh air if you can stomach moving about. I had a porthole near the back and it did feel quite dark and closed in because we had to close our porthole during the Drake but not much you can do about that! I do reccomend staying in your room as much as possible if feeling sick. It felt much better when lying down in the cabin rather than in the lounge areas. It's was more of a rolling motion lying down rather than up and down.just sleep through it and you'll be fine! The best thing about it is, everyone is the same boat (quite literally) so if you end up sick, 80% of the boat will also be sick. You won't be alone 😂 it's just a matter of embracing it at that point. It does bring everyone on the boat together as well friendships are formed because of the sea sickness haha I didn't see stars at night! When I went in early December we had nearly 24/7 daylight!!!

I used my gopro hero 9 with a light attachment from Amazon just because I went during the darkest month. It would have been perfect but my gopro ended up fogging up on me so be careful of that!

End of October to start of November! I thought the timing was absolutely perfect!

I didn't do any specific or extra training. I am a runner so I was running 3 times a week and I have 2 jobs, both of which I'm on my feet all day. One job is up and down steps all day wearing a backpack and I think that helped massively. So try and get in hills and steps carrying weight . So I didn't change anything outside of my normal days. I was just fortunate enough that the altitude didn't effect me!

There were a lot of Orca's at that time but we unfortunately didn't get to swim with them. I do believe that the group after us (so later December) got in with them :)

@@jacobbravo8270 the orcas either want you or they don't - they chose. If they don't want you near them they will just leave. We just didn't manage to get close enough for long enough for a drop. It's really just luck tbh! So fingers crossed you'll get a few drops with them. And if you don't for the first day or 2 , don't get discouraged!!

@@amyfinlayson yeah I am a runner so I found it difficult! Some days are worse than others but overall its okay. You should get 2 walks a day

No, not a hard time - it's very easy and self explanatory. However, the spaces fill up VERY quickly and they only put dates up 3 months in advance so you need to be quite quick and refresh the availability every day (about 3 months in advance of the date you want)
