2:12 This letter is a reference to Huey Dewy and Louie's first appearance in the Donald Duck Sunday Comic Strip, the letter Donald gets is almost exactly the same as the one Scrooge receives, only replace "Angel niece and nephew, Della and Donald" with "Angel nephews, Huey Dewy and Louie" and "Your Sister, Hortense" with "Your Cousin Della". Later when their first cartoon was released the letter's sender was changed to "Your sister, Dumbella". Years later comic writers would split the difference, and cement her as Donald's Sister, Della.

It was really cool to see someone watch this episode for the first time… my favorite was when Sasha fell, and he was like uhmmm UHMMM UHMMMMMMM oh… that was a close one.

I absolutely love this episode, just because of the character development. I think it is phenomenal. The best episode other than the other season finales in my opinion. And btw I totally agree that Sasha is written better than amity. I think every character in amphibia blows away any character in the owl house. I just think it’s better overall. It’s complicated.

My favs: Eda's Requiem- It's just so nice to see raeda together? Season 2 ep 15 ( don't remember the name )- Idk why just nice seeing raeda as a kid. Watching and dreaming- I love that they got a happy ending ig :) the episode has got me tear up like 3 times. Labyrinth runners- Hunter is one of my favs and idk why? It's just good. Hollow mind- Again idk why.

If you're thinking of breaking into the animation industry, you may also consider the indie route. Note that indie studios like Glitch and Viziepop are also doing their thing. Look at their recent success such as Murder Drones/The Amazing Digital Circus (for Glitch), and Helluva Boss/Hazbin Hotel (for Viziepop). 👍 If Minecraft made people notice the indie route in the gaming industry starting 2011, similar shows will likely continue to do the same thing for the animated industry. 12:00 The way I describe this show to friends, I say it starts out as a fairly standard monster-of-the-week show up until around episode 15 (Understanding Willow) and something about it changes. The themes become more complex and nuanced, the stakes get higher while remaining deeply personal, the episodes are more emotionally evocative as a whole... it basically shifts into a higher gear and never lets off the gas for the rest of the series.

My favorite episode of ANYTHING so far. The writing and animation and coloring are all top tier, but the subtle detail of Luz's pupils contracting when she sees Amity's stricken expression really does it for me. She instantly drops the nonchalant facade and eye contact. She wants to pretend it doesn't hurt, but doing so is just lying further.

For me, it's the microcosm of expressions Luz undergoes in that brief instant when she realizes what's about to happen, and how you can see the exact moment when conscious thought shuts off -- and how it hasn't quite come back after it ends.
