My dad was their roadie for years in the 90s. He always talks fondly of them, he even has an awesome Elton John style jacket one of them gave him

I got that record in 1987 when it first came out and loved it. Just thought of it and looked it up on YT - just as good as I recall. I used to tell people I'm a Mad Molecule.

Like The Radiators I was lucky to grow up during the golden age of New Orleans music (starting in the late 50's) - we had a chance to see the incomparable Fess, Allan, Ernie, Benny, Fats, Lee, Irma and so many others -often for free. I learned to listen to this great music and well has the Rads learned to play it - Reggie even had the privilege to play with Fess - and it shows! (Like Walter Earl would say, I could only carry a tune if I had a radio in my hand!) We were blessed and The Radiators are great descendants of these musical giants and are the musical gems of their generation! What a great body of work - Ed is perhaps the most under appreciated contemporary song writer! Timeless NOLA music for all the FishHeads!

20+ years ago the played a bar in Northern IL and I called in and won a CASSETTE (tells you the time frame) of Zig Zaggin Through Ghostland. I wore that cassette out. Now I'm living south of New Orleans in Venice and wish I'd seen them in their prime, live.

The Radiators played in my fraternity's backyard in 1984. When the neighbors complained they moved their gear to the living room and kept rockin'!

Yes I saw them literally a couple of hundred times starting in 1984 at the Union Bar in Minneapolis. I saw them perform from east coast to the west coast and from Montana to New Orleans and many places between. Partied with them many many times and it was always a blast.

greatest bar band ever. Hundreds of live shows archived on archive.org it all started at Luigi’s on Tuesday nights then spread by TULANE kids throughout the world, and their perennial position as Jazz Fest closing act for decades.
