I absolutely love this. Ian and Wendy so cute❤
Ian was my favorite. When he left I followed Rosetta Stone for a while. Actually saw them live just outside Toronto.
Bless both Ian and Les. They are both gone from us now.😢
Les looked great here. Those "Roller shoes" were bangin. ❤
RIP both of you & Alan.
Les is very gracious to this awful man. He looks gorgeous in this blue jacket.
It's ashame they went through so much.
I see Les and Ian Mitchell , guitarist and keyboards i dont know
On Drums ex clash drummer Terry Chimes, keyboard Russel Keefe, guitar Terry Munday
They brought excitement and fun as well as talent to this world I for one miss them and those happy care free days
Were they still being ripped off at this point?
This particular gig they all turned up for free never got paid a penny all proceeds want to a cancer trust .
Thanks for the music Les and Ian… Rock in heaven. Love you forever 💙💙🌈🥳
The follicly challenged gentleman on the left near the beginning of the video is my uncle Cyril . Guy in the red and white jacket is my cousin Darren Clarke and 2 of the younger boys are also my cousin's .
My the sound is poor on this vid i will remove it and update with better sound soon
Ian was gorgeous
Love Les and Ian they still my favorites and Eric
Bloody hell !...., No wonder they didn't play on their recordings 🤔
Listen to Les's voice in earlier songs. Very unique and sexy. Try My way and Write a Letter. As well, he could have done rock as he had a very growly voice perfect for rock.
Why did Les put up with that prick, Ross is suck a dick.
small gig
It's been over 40 years since I visited this amazing place. I've been back recently but couldn't find it, seems it has gone the way of all things.
Barry Humphries was the next guest on the show and berated Wossy for being a jerk to Les.
Ian peeked inside other people's pants,so cute.
Ian那時還有自己樂隊嗎?
No
Those two gormless idiots who joined Les,they ruined it!
I Love The Bay City Rollers!
Thanks
Its sad knowing that people will never see them again. What an amazing wave of popular hysteria they produced. Its a shame their record company and manager ripped them off no end. They deserved better. May they rest in peace.
My Grandad use to drive these as back in the day they were work vans
Thank you for sharing this! Neat!
Thanks for watching!
I'm glad to see the real them compared to the squeaky clean image that they portrayed in the'70s
Very nice. It says in the handbook that vans are restricted to 30mph, was that law ever repealed?
SORRY but I need Left-hand drive!!!
Gosh forgot how noisy that A38 was! Always loved visiting here, used to live opposite Ambleside. When did it close?
I spent a lot of time in the six years before the lockdown, and during lockdown, walking with someone to the docks, long after the new buildings had been built.
I live about five minutes away from there. I lived in Exmouth for eight years.
My uncle had one of these but it was saloon with back seat ❤️
Such good looking guys. RIP
Ian Mitchell was gorgeous..RIP
Sad. These guys needed AA meetings.
What a douchebag. And I'm not referring to Les.
Drugs
Drugs, booze, r*pe. All of it. Sad, but they passed as healed individuals.
I Loved the Bay City Rollers and their Great Fun Music as a young Teenager in the 1970s and I still enjoy listening to their music so much!
I Loves the Bay City Rollers as a Teenager and I will will Love and remember.them.and their great fun music the rest of my.life.
What a show. (I can´t believe they have gone). Thanks.
Awesome footage! Thanks for sharing this rare off-stage with the band. 😀
Glad you enjoyed it
Ian was such a doll.
Thanks for this!! It's one of my favorite Les songs❤
Forever I loveyou Les
Ian loved Les. So sad that they have both passed away
That brought back some memories. Nice to watch, shame it's not there anymore. It would have been about '79 when we went.
Ian was always my favorite. :)
It's hard to believe that they are both gone! 😢
I live with the fact that my husband is gone every day, but I look back at this video and I smile...I remember this day like it was yesterday. It was a lot of fun! And the guys raised a lot of money for the charity. :)
@@ianslass I am so very sorry for the loss you've suffered... I hope that your memories of your life together are bringing you much comfort... It's never an easy thing... This I know from experience...
Hi@@susanbloom4773 ---I don't think anything brings me comfort right now, but at least I can smile for a short time...if that makes sense. And thank you for your kind words. And I am sorry for the loss of your husband. Hugs...
@@ianslass It totally makes sense to me... Grief is a very complicated emotion and the grieving process is different for everyone... And there are moments when you can smile and times where it's all so unbearable... Please know that you will get thru this, as devastating as it to you... I knew the guys back in the mid 70s when Ian had joined them... He was a bit younger than the others but I remember thinking he was like a breath of fresh air and always seemed very happy and like a great guy... He was maybe 17 or 18 then? I was around 22 so to me he was like a kid brother but always a positive addition...
