And yes, the debate was hard to watch sadly, the choices are not good (old fella vs. old felon) but, I absolutely agree we can’t sit on the sidelines and do nothing, we MUST take a real good look at who are apart of the totality of their surroundings…last time I checked of one particular party, most if not all were indicted. So, the way I see it, the tail usually follows the head. Being old is not a crime but breaking the law and being a liar is. I’m afraid this country is in for a rude awakening though. I’m thankful that God is still on the throne.🙌🏾

Yes I saw the debate and what it reminded of when I've been an interview panelist with employees that I know and there are some B+/A- performing employees that fail on interview and some D-/F performing employees that kill it in interviews, I've never recommended hiring the one with performance issues no matter how great they did. My two cents.

👍I watched the debate with great sadness. It was very hard to watch, but at the end of the day I will be voting. I enjoyed your vlog, I loved the red purse, and I did not have a clue what the washing machine gadget was. I have never worn make-up for that specific reason, I am not willing to take that much time to apply the different products. I love seeing women wear make-up especially, if it's not overdone. When I was your youngest daughter age, I was feeding the cows, taking the slop to the hogs, sewing, quilting and cleaning. My generation was different, I think my grandparents were preparing me for self-perseverance. I know it's a different world now, and perhaps your daughter just wants to be like her big sister, not trying to grow up too fast😊. I loved your outfit of the day; you looked so well put together without even trying. I would definitely keep the brown blazer, but I would get it tailored for a better fit, and since you got it on sale, I think it's a good investment to spend the money to have it altered.😉

I enjoyed your video! I really like the black leather ballet shoes you had stretched. All of your shoes were cute. But the showstopper for me were the metallic ballet flats, like you, I really like metallic! I don't have wide feet, but I still have a hard time with different designers' shoes because my foot is neither narrow nor wide and a lot of times the medium width is just too wide, but they don't come in narrow, if they do, the narrow is just too tight. Any who I'm with you, with the foot not hanging over on shoes, not an attractive look😉

Wow Ree, your hair looks fantastic, you did a great job 👏 Thank you for talking so empathetically about mental illness, it's a subject that's close to my heart too as I grew up with & was a child carer for my mum who had severe mental health issues including paranoia & psychosis. Unfortunately as a result I also have had mental health struggles of the anxiety & depression kind. For 30+ years now. I think there's still a lot of stigma, misunderstanding and fear around mental health issues and I agree that social media definitely isn't helping anyone, as it encourages comparison and feeling less than. It's also harming young people with all the body beautiful stuff and unrealistic standards and is stopping them seeing how beautiful they are without all the fillers and filters.

😭 All I can say in response to your experiences with racism is that I'm sorry!!!! I am white and grew up in the west with a predominantly white people population. I have always loved ALL people and the color of their skin doesn't matter. I was devastated to learn as an adult how rampant racism STILL is! I was horrified to study, in school, the atrocities that happened to blacks (and other groups who were duscriminated against). I read ROOTS and felt as if I was suffering alongside my fellow men, women and children. It was a harsh truth to realize that people haven't learned from the past! 😭 I DO try to show kindness and love to others. Since I've become more aware of what present day black people endure, I absolutely try to show added kindness and support so no one feels threatened in my presence. My next door neighbors are Samoan and I try to be friendly with them, but they usually look away or dont interact. I hope they dont feel like I'm judgemental of them! I'm glad your dad was cared for and that his health crisis resolved so well. Thank you for bringing up important points of discussion and sharing your life with me and others. I've learned so much.

Hey Ree, I hope you & the family are well- I'm a Leo too & have the same mentality about people that you do. I have always hated & never understood racism/any kind of prejudice, we are all equal & deserving of respect & equality whatever our race, gender or any other protected characteristic. I'm so sorry that you have this 'Karen' to deal with, it would take so much less energy for them to just be decent & I admire you for still trying to interact positively on some level with them. I was recently on a training course where the majority of the people in the room were black and I noticed that they seemed to prefer to stick together which I completely respected, but I made the effort to initiate conversation with them and asked questions about their lives in Africa/generally when they were talking about moving over to and living in the UK. By the end of the two weeks we were all chatting and I like to think that the people in the group felt more comfortable than they might have before, these things really shouldn't matter, but unfortunately they are still an issue. I swore as a teenager that if I ever encountered a racist person, I would make no bones about telling them what I thought of their behaviour & them and if it was someone I knew I might just not talk to them for a while when they came back from holiday with a tan just to make a point. Fortunately I have never had the reason to but there's still time 😉

This was a very interesting blog. The pole was a great idea, would you care to share where you purchased it? I was born in August too. I'm a persistent Leo. Although I'm in my 60's I can relate to some of your generational concerns. I have been living in my second home now for 25 years, I have a neighbor who has been living here longer than me. The husband-and-wife are white they have never once said hello, waved or even looked in my direction when I drive by. I have another white neighbor who is as friendly as can be. He brings me blackberries every year that he grows them. I do believe your neighbors are envious of your beautiful well-kept home, your well-behaved children, your hard-working husband. I wouldn't worry about it in the least. That is their problem. It's nice to be neighborly but only to the one that deserves it😊

Yes I think it is ingrained in their spirit....I remember working in a rich senior community as a part time GNA and the racism within is so sad because most of the employees (underpaid) are black.

Oh my. Your neighbor sounds like the one in the movie, Karen. That would drive me crazy. Most of the black people in our neighborhood are like that which I find strange. We wave, everyone else waves, but the black people will look the other way, with the exception of the guy on the corner. He's super friendly. My wife is a Leo and she's the same as you. I'm a Pisces and we definitely balance each other.

I haven't seen any of your videos for awhile and I feel like I have a lot to say! First, I love your haircut. I feel the same way about having someone else cut my hair. Second, your daughter is beautiful and it's fun to see how she's progressing. Third, thank you for sharing a reminder that many people are struggling with mental illness. I recently spoke to a nurse who works in the ICU. She told me there have absolutely been more people who come in for serious mental health issues. I also have family members that deal with various mental health issues. I'm glad you were in a position to recognize what was happening AND could remain safe and show kindness to the other person. Hmm well you convinced me to purchase the Conair. I have fuzzy white person curly hair (well much frizzier and curlier than most but not coarse). I liked what I saw when you working with the conair and did not see such a huge improvement with the Dyson portion for the money. I love that there is 3 heat settings and cool shot and the blow dryer will work very well with my curly but finer hair than your hair. I also blow dry mine straight always and typically use a straightener also. I may update this and let people know how it worked and if I can get by without the straightener using the conair.

I'm just too lazy to keep up with all of those things so I keep it simple. I wash with Noxzema Classic Clean or their deep cleansing cream and Witch Hazel as a toner. I moisturize morning and night. For reference, I'm 55. I have no desire to use botox. I have started occasionally dermaplaning at home because sis, the facial hair is on another level LOL. Other than that, I don't have the energy. Like, these influencers will say they are doing a simple facial skincare routine and then proceed to use 10 different products. Nope, can't do it. I will never be a minimalist in terms of clothing because I love clothes but definitely working on other areas of my home just so I have can some order without the excess. Apparently the cicadas are here in Georgia too. I hope not to run into them. I love the waist coats and blazer on you. That blazer would be super cute with what the t-shirt and shorts you have on, some loafers, and that bag you bought. The glasses were cute too.

Not all hair can hands heat well. Some fries no matter how low the heat. So definitely, to each its own. So when videos say, nothing is wrong with applying hear, it’s essential to make exceptions.
