On July 3rd, 2024, I made my annual trek up to the Denton FarmPark for the 54th Annual Southeast Old Thresher's Reunion. The event is something I look forward to year after year, and this year was no exception. As per usual, High Point, Thomasville, and Denton Railroad #202 took charge of running the 1.5 mile long "Handy Dandy Railroad" around the FarmPark grounds, putting on an excellent show.
All in all, the team at the Denton FarmPark continue to put on an excellent event, and I cannot wait for next year. So, sit back, relax, and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Handy Dandy Railroad!

I thought the Russian Decapods were built by Baldwin?
They were, but they were built by a number of manufacturers. Baldwin built some, ALCO built some, and the Canadian Locomotive Company built some. Multiple manufacturers building locomotives to the same design is more common than you’d think.

Walter got its Baldwin whistle back in late March 2024. I’m glad they were able to get it reinstalled as all four locomotives definitely deserve their own voice. Btw any more trips planned before you leave Florida?

While I did like Walter's Buckeye but I do agree! It gives the locomotives unique personalities! I can't wait for Roy to come back!
This whole time I thought Walt was wearing Roy’s whistle while Roy is away. I guess I didn’t know Walt has his own Baldwin whistle that’s lower than Lilly’s and Roger’s!
@@wavemaker10111 Someone also thought Walter was wearing Roy's whistle at the time before we found out that it's a brand new whistle. Roy's whistle has a deeper tone.

Thanks! I did the catch the issue, and made the correction in the description when I was uploading the video. I believe the monorail I called “Monorail Cyan” was actually Monorail Teal.

What do you mean by that? As in it has automatic doors?

@@christopherjamieson1668 Don't think that's entirely the case, seeing as there are still pilots in the monorail's cockpit. From what I've researched, it could be a combination of automatic control with manual backup.
@@TweetsieRailroader the monorail is automatic, but you see pilots because they are there in case of an emergency.

The Donald and Douglas theme was most definitely a perfect choice to represent these two beauties of the narrow gauge side. Definitely would be even more fitting if ever Disney decided to run them both coupled together
Right, considering that Engines # 1 (Walter E. Disney) and 3 (Roger E. Broggie) have the same basics! So yes, you can really say these are twin Locomotives!
@@trainboy48 they are twins. Their builders numbers are consecutive with Walt being the lower number.
Roger has always been my favorite on the railroad, and the new paint scheme makes it even better. The 70’s colors combined with the extra lining and lettering detail is absolute perfection. Circus train no longer!
Roger definitely looks great in its new appearance. So far, he’s the only one with a redesigned logo, as Walter and Lilly retain their original logos. I wonder what they will do with Roy.
I love the twin ten-wheelers! What could've made even better is if they still were the same length like their U de Y look. But the colors are beautiful.
I don’t think they ever changed length. What changed were the size of the boilers, as when they were bought by Disney, they were given smaller boilers to better emulate 19th-century machines.
Is the buzzer sound different at 17:32?
We think they gave Roger a new buzzer.
Next year the twin sister engines will be celebrating their 100th birthday together. :)
Do you know what happened to take them out of service Monday morning? I was waiting out on the Contemporary walkway for like half an hour before giving up.

Been waiting to see Roger run again. I think Strasburg gave her the best overhaul thus far! New logo on the tender and new text font, and it has been repainted into its old 1970's colors.
Just in time for the twins 100th anniversary in 14 months. Had they sent Roy instead of Roger in 2021 which was the original plan, Roger would not be running for its 100th anniversary, and that would’ve been a disappointment to me.
