Remington No 9 Shotgun - Disassembly
Remington No 9 Shotgun - Disassembly
This video serves two purposes. Firstly it documents the disassembly procedure of the Remington No 9 shotgun, for our records.
Secondly, it serves as a video and microphone test for the new John1911 Range cleaning station.
In summary:
Open the action.
Remove the center pin.
Separate the front from the back.

1902 Remington No 9 Shotgun
zhlédnutí 53Před 14 dny
1902 Remington #9 Shotgun Picked this up from Shooter’s Supply after noticing some unique features not found on many modern shotguns. Firstly, it is a single action break-top, but is only cocked (or de-cocked) by the user actuating a lever on the left side of the receiver. The second feature is the #9 is a takedown. So between different and unique manual of arms, and my love of breakdowns, this...
The Most Important Pistol Drill

The Most Important Pistol Drill I inevitably get variations of this question after posting new pistol drill videos: What is the best pistol drill to practice? The answer is easy: Drawing the gun from the holster. The second most important skill to master is placing the gun back into the holster. As a matter of fact, short of getting into an actual gunfight, holster work will be the single most ...

I hope this video gives you a better, closer look at the gun and how it’s configured. Sincerely, Marky www....

Tisas Raider - Hammer Follow Fixed? The Tisas Raider is back from SDS in Tennessee. It appears to be fixed. Shoots good. Now we will use it sometimes as a video queen. What do I mean by the phrase, “Video queen”? Simple. This isn’t a gun I would choose for work or carry. I prefer higher end 1911s for those purposes. Tisas Raider Hammer Follow Test Ok. Let me start off by staying that any 1911 that exhibits hammer follow is extremely dangerous. Or it can show up when firing the pistol and the gun fires more times than the user pulled the trigger. Possibly ru...

    the eye relief is bad because that looks like a Zeiss Zielvier scope. The original Ajack had the turret mounted farther forward, allowing the scope to sit a few inches further back. I know this is kind of old, but does you scope mount sit parallel to the receiver and bore, or is it slightly tilted so as to effect elevation? I will be mounting a reproduction m41B mount to an m96 soon, and really dont want my elevation to be maxing out my scope for a 100 yard zero.

    • @John1911
      @John1911 Před 6 dny

      Truth is, and this is only my opinion, I’d bet between now and the end of time; they make a steel version. Why? They have made officer models. 5” models. Now comped models. Redesigned the grip panel construction into a new format. So it’s not unrealistic that in the future when it’s time for a new SHOT SHOW season and they have done everything else, something like Wilson X9 HD hits the catalog. But…let me tell you, the 5” model does everything you want a steel gun to do regarding felt recoil. Marky

      If a scope comes with one, and most of the really good ones do, sure. But…in the precision rifle world, it is has been my observation that most people who seek these out do so as more of a flex-for-the-gram. We used to see this kind of stuff in the martial arts community when newer guys would eventually ask for the “secret death touch moves”, etc. In short, these kinds of inquiries tend to smoke out the novices because it’s easy to buy more stuff and hang it on your rifle. It’s hard and humbling to go out and train and put in the work. So whens one asks me about buying an ARD, I usually respond with a comment along the lines of have you earned it in your training? I have zero problems with ARDs. Regards, Marky John1911.com

    Can you purchase the glock 17p gen 5 in red? And does it shoot?

    • @John1911
      @John1911 Před měsícem

      Glock holds these close to the vest and reserves them for LEO, GOV & corporate entities. The mean reason being for the very question you asked. Taking an inert red or blue trainer and converting it to a functional firearm is a surefire way end up in somebody’s criminal or civil docket. By federal law these are treated as firearms and all categorical laws in that regard apply. Including but not limited to liability and possession. As shipped from the factory they cannot be made to fire live ammunition. So please don’t do this. Regards, Marky

    So think that kill flashes don't have an application for civilians, and civilians who care about them are crazy. BUT you have them on your scopes AND they are good for hunting? I'm getting mixed messages. Also, if you dont think kill flashes are for civilians you couldn't possibly understand what the 2nd Amendment is for. Watching this video was a waste of time

    • @John1911
      @John1911 Před měsícem

      I am not saying these don’t have a civilian application nor should they be controlled. We have some for Christ-sakes. So don’t move the goal post. All I am saying is, 99 times out of 100 people inquiring about ARD’s are folks who likely can’t hold a practical MOA accuracy standard out to infantry or sniper rifle distances. I.e. it smokes them out. Why? ARD’s are seductive just like any other piece of gear. It easy to buy stuff, hang on a rifle, post it on the internet and pretend unrealized skill or capability. If two scopes are exactly the same and one has an ARD and one doesn’t, as long as it isn’t crazy expensive, buy the ARD model. But…and it’s a big one. So many scope features come way before the ARD in capability. What range will the scope be used? Eye relief of the eye box in the magnification range. What kind of reticle? How thick or fine is the reticle? This will be a DEAL killer at extended ranges. What does the center of the reticle look like? Illuminated reticle? Color of illuminated reticle? NV compatible reticle. Which way does the elevation turret turn. Is it a single turn vs a double turn? How much range do you get in the parallax adjustment? Do the knobs have tactical clicks for use in the dark? Does it have a zero stop to find it in the dark? How big is the tube? 30 or 34mm. Scope’s low light capability via objective size. How “severe” is the bell’s angle relative to the rings you want to use and eye-relief? I.e. will it collide up front? Does the scope come with covers? Etc. Etc. . . . . . . Somewhere down here is “Hey! It has an ARD”. All the other things are way more important to the actual shooting of the rifle. But an ARD looks good in pictures on gun forums.
