@@markusklemm4516 I'm not sure. I have the 2014 REx. I haven't heard from 2014 owners. I push the button for a good 20 seconds and nothing happens to the screen. Can you press the button while charging the vehicle or turned on?

@@marymadeleneperkins6790 The i3 in the video was a 2014 BEV, so the model year shouldn’t be an issue. We haven’t tried doing the check while charging.

@@markusklemm4516 thank you for that info. I have tried it while charging and while turned on, but nothing works. I'll try to figure out what's going on. I will also join FB i3 groups.

sounds like you got a lemon? Why did you get the 60Ah battery version? If you purchased used, you can not expect to have the same range as if the car was new.. If you want performance you have to keep the car in Comfort Mode. Its not a sports car, its an economy car made of plastic. The tires only last for 12k miles.. Wind noise is because of the frameless windows. Cooling and heating works very well.

The figure represents the max usable, or the difference between 100% and 0% state-of-charge. It should not be affected substantially by the current charge.

That's not a fixed amount. I woke early this morning and the car said 54 miles on battery. (It had been standing plugged in for a week in cold wet weather while we were on holiday) When I drove the car a long way, and recharged it twice - the warm battery said the range was over 70 miles. In the summer it was higher on a regular basis. BTW - I bought my i3 as a used car so I don't know the range when new. The other point to note is that yesterday the capacity was reported as 17.2kWh, and today after two CCS charges it was 17.7kWh.

Mine showed 17.6 after 24k km. (I’m a little disappointed as I just purchased it...) Range is typically about 110km in Comfort mode.

peter gorton there's a warranty on the battery..but I don't know below what kw is it replaceable ?

I recall that it’s 30% loss, from new, so I’m well away from that. Interesting, though. I will check it every few months, as the car is in regular use, with solar PV trickle charging, keeping it above about 20%.

If it falls below 70% of original capacity, they'll fix it. But I suspect they only have to get it back over 70%. They don't promise to get it back to 'as-new'.

The Nissan leaf is very simple to see it’s on the right side of the Dash this is kind of difficult

22 kWh 60Ah <- and 33 kWh for the 94Ah. 2017 Model This Model has an overall range of about 130 km or 91 miles.

For the 94Ah model, the original max SoC is about 29.7 kWh. 33kWh is the theoretical gross capacity, but not the max SoC usable by the car. After about 10,000mi (16,000 km), my max SoC is 29.6 kWh, which should be average to good given the mileage.

Mine is a 94ah , 90000 km has 28.8 kwh left now ... not to bad

@@norwegianzound but the car only had 18kwh usuable to the driver. I have never ever seen when new the 60Ah battery showing 22kwh on the screen. when new it reads : either 19kwh or 18kwh

+Samba65 The gas tank change is something you code with your laptop and a special cable. I don't know if there is a way other than hold mode to have the REx run without a depleted battery.

You need an app for your phone called bimmercode and an OBD reader. There are lots of youtube videos on the subject.
