Akai MPC One Tutorial: Bouncing Tracts to Make a Song? Meet the Events Button and the Song Mode.
In this video, I will show you, step-by-step, how to build an entire song (drums and bass) called Pride and Joy (by Stevie Ray Vaughn). We will do so by using the "events" button, which will allow us to bounce (copy) tracts from one sequence, into another sequence. We will need to make five sequences to complete the song. Note: you must update to the latest firmware to make this work which is, at the time of this video (9/20/22), 2.11.4.
After the five sequences are created, I will introduce you to the "song mode," which we will use to hook the five sequences together and play the song. I will thoroughly explain the song mode as well. What a great practice tool! And you can even do a gig without a drummer or bass player!

31:45 -- START BOUNCING TRACTS FROM THE I, IV, V SEQUENCES TO CREATE THE MAIN SEQUENCES OF THE SONG

    Is there a way to sync all the input faders independently from what output we use? In other words if I put input 1 to 0 db on the main output, it automatically brings it to 0db to all the other outputs. I use the outputs to control volume of different cabinets (big subs, medium subs, large tops, small tops etc). And the input it is a simple 2 channel from a dj mixer that I would like to use as main master for all. The problem I see is that every output keep it's own input levels

    Can you PLEASE help me?? 🤦🏻‍♂️😫 I’ll try to be brief: I’ve got my drum machine patterns and synth bass made into one sequence in the “MIDI” section of the MPC One and I’m adding guitar using the “AUDIO” section, but my maddening conundrum is that whenever I “fast forward” the track, I can only hear the guitar parts I’ve recorded in the Audio section while the MIDI sequence of bass & drums cannot be heard. I’ll have to listen to the song all the way up to the section I’m recording and hope I get it right because if not, I’ll have to listen to it up until that part again and again until I get it right. It’s SOOO frustrating and tedious. Thank you!!

    Question: The XAir display in your video shows six AUX/bus sliders, but the XR16 physical interface only has four. Do the MAIN L&R sometimes serve as 5 & 6, and if so, when and how?

  • @trent210
    @trent210 Před 3 měsíci

    Just a recommendation, you should consider lowering the volume of your mic and talking louder. Your current setup requires you to borderline whisper, which causes you to smack your lips every 5 seconds, along with us being able to hear every breath that you take. and that can overstimulate your audience. I do appreciate the content though!

    I have the mini Tumnus but I want to say compared to the larger Tumnus Deluxe, the mini Tumnus has this vibrato wah modulation that the larger Tumnus Deluxe does not. I had the opportunity to try the larger Tumnus Deluxe in person at a Guitar Center, noticed the difference right away. This may coincide with the the inference about the two simialr pedals mentioned at 17:27
