How do you know if its a bad purge valve if you don't have the equipment to test??

I was snorkeling in the gulf and saw hundreds of these thing they were everywhere

Love the vid, so as some mentioned, it's there anything special needed to be done with the wheel well plastic sheild thing? I had someone smash my fender in a bit and thinking of replacing it myself. The dender seems to be okay maybe since the plastic was more pliable. I saw commwnts the said spit welds had to be drilled out and the reweleded??

What transmission you have

Maybe need new glow plugs. Swapped out glow plugs and it made a huge difference on cold starts. Night and day

Why don't you zoom in some more so we can't see a damn thing. "Almost". That is why you should NEVER buy a diesel if it gets cold where you live. Glow plugs NEVER work.

Something wrong there buddy. Should fire straight up any temp one glow cycle. Our 93 one cycle even at -50 have a video if you want to see. Never plug it in. Good fuel. Strong batteries. Clean contacts.

I just got a 1986 6.9 and so far its pretty mint. It doesnt sound as loud as the other idi’s ive heard but ive never heard another one in person lol.

Sounds like gelled fuel in the pump & filter and at -10F I would bet it was.

I couldnt imagine payn that for new truck and it startn like this🤦‍♂️

How easy is it to drop a 7.3 IDI or Power Stroke in a 1986 F250 that was originally set up for IDI?!

How long will the stock rotating assembly and the heads last with a turbo? Do you have to put head studs in the heads at all to handle the extra power? How much horse power can you safely get out of a 6.9 IDI and is it worth it?!!

It's like trying to wake up somebody who's incredibly hungover, the truck is saying what the, do you know how cold it is? I'm impressed that it started with one battery with it that cold there's guys out there that say that the 7.3 IDI glow plug system was better but I think it was crap.

They tell ya that they got idling issues when that happens. Well I had one that you couldn't go a hundred miles without adding a quart of oil and you could look down through th throttle body and see oil pooled in th bottom of th intake and it would blow a crowd of smoke when you first start it up but it idled and ran fine. I bought that kit from Hugh's engines and put it on that intake. End of problem
