How much water are you carrying on the way up South Kaibab?
Hey! I had two soft flasks (500ml each) and a 12oz water bottle for both down and up. Was a chilly day though. I went up Bright Angel couple years ago in summer and had to refill twice

Great video!! Saw a couple of my friends, your like a trail ninja!! I have done a couple of documentary on Mines of Spain 100, how was it logistical get around Kettle for you? Great work!
Thank you! Kettle is pretty easy compared to others. Two main out and backs so there is a ton of time to drive and hit the trail at any spot of choice. The limitation is more on what time of day and what part of the pack you’d want to find.

This is a great video. Does anyone have a link to a course map for the 100 miler? Ultra Sign Up has a description but it has a lot of detail specific to the park that I don’t know about and the website for the race itself is super barren (on purpose) with only a link back to Ultra Sign Up.

Sorry for my dumb ‘Roady’ question lol but if I’m accustomed to Maruten drink mix (for road runs), is okay to use that in the trails + take salt pills?? I do have Tailwind that has great amount of sodium but the Maurten just sits better inside me 😅 thanks bro. Signed up for the waytoocool50k so that’s gonna be my first trail run
You can have anything you like but you have to bring it in terms of fuel. Race will likely have something different. Just can’t take anything illegal or banned 😃. Have a blast at the race!

Intro music is spot on for this race. I did the hundred in 2022. Ripped my left calf muscle around mile 50 and hobbled into the finish with 20 minutes or so on the clock. Completely gutted me.
